While I agree that Boxer is a racist without question and the NAACP had no biz being referenced except to prove her I have a black friend racism, he overreacted big time. Big time. He represented himself as the President of "Black" Business Owners. Black Business owners. Cant bring race into when its to your advantage then cry when it aint.

The guy is a hypocrite.
While he resents being considered "black" rather than a person, his organization is, do not forget, "The Black Chamber of Commerce," an organization (one of many out there by the way) whose sole purpose is to find and disseminate opportunities from corporate and governmental contracting agencies that require a certain percentage of minority participation.
Check the "Black Chamber of Commerce's" Contracting link on their website, this is just one of the opportunities they are advising their members of:

All the other (mostly sub) contracting opportunities have minority quotas that mainstream (for lack of a better term for non-minority) companies (such as URS Corportation) that need to fulfill AFFIRMATIVE ACTION QUOTAS. This, dear animals, is the raison d'etre of the man's organization.
If he wasn't using racial politics to begin with, he wouldn't be the head of the "Black Chamber of Commerce" --- he'd be a member or head of The (or A) Chamber of Commerce (just as our president is not President of the Black United States, he is the President of the United States --- and Michael Steele is not the head of the Black Republican Party, he is the head of the Republican Party), irrespective of whether he is black or white.
If it weren't for organizations SUCH AS the NAACP fighting for equal opportunity, then there would be no benefit to there being a "Black" Chamber of Commerce to begin with.
He's absolutely playing the race card; and, it seems he's playing both sides of it.
That ain't right. Talk about being unsure of where one stands. This guy takes the cake ... and wants to eat it too.
As for Boxer, she was perfectly aware that he is a black man representing a black organization. So she was putting into the public record the statements of other "black" organizations, something which Mr. Alford seems to want to run away from, unless it gets him business.

Thing is, this guy knew Boxer would do/say something racist and he was ready for it. Seemed like a setup to me, and not a very good one. I imagine he'll be pushing a book soon. Some on the right have embraced him and I hope his 15 mins lasts excatly that. But the fact remains, Boxer walked into his trap for being who she is, a typical racist liberal.
