All of the things that the libs hated about Bush have continued and they have no problem with that. All of the things that conservatives hated about Bush (mostly spending like a drunken sailor) have continued and escalated and of course conservatives have been freaking out.
Two weeks ago Donkey made this argument to me but didn't say it nearly as well as Jack Langer.

There is plenty of liberal/left criticism of Obama. You would know that if you ever looked at liberal sites.

really gary? the daily kos is criticizing him? plenty of criticism at huffpo? code pink is protesting and disrupting his press conferences? moveon.org is running ads in the times?
No gary a couple of blog sites that have 10 readers isn't plenty of criticism. The guy has the EXACT SAME POLICIES as the Bush administration. Bush was excoriated every day.
If all politics is local, then I ask you Gary... where is your outrage? How many anti-Obama blogs have you wrote? Everytime weve pointed on his continuation of Bush policies youve made excuses.
If Obama has the EXACT SAME POLICIES as Bush why don't you support him? The truth is that he has not gone far enough in distancing himself from some Bush policies and he has been criticized for it. No way though is he as bad as Bush.
How could I ever refute your point when it WAS IN ALL CAPS. Dont be a jackass, noone ever said it was identical... just the things that pissed libs off the most the past eight years. War, wiretapping, gitmo etc. Now youre silent so it proves are general point that liberals and you are full of shit.
"EXACT SAME POLICIES" in all caps was quoted from Rhino's comment. Perhaps he was being facetious. I have criticized some of Obama's policies, so really you don't have a point. If he doesn't end the war in Iraq or close Gitmo I will be be protesting.
Not that I ever expected Obama to dismantle the national securitystate. But ending torture and closing Gitmo is a start. I can't prove that illegal wiretapping has stopped but I haven't seen any evidence of it. I am 100% OK with legal wiretapping.
As for the war in Afghanistan, I've always supported it with some reservations, as that country has earned it's reputation as the graveyard of empires. Wouldn't it have been great if the Bush administration had destroyed al Qaeda in Afghanistan, rather than incompetently letting them get away and regroup?
In short, I and many liberals do criticize Obama. Not with the same vehemence as we did Bush,but then he's not as bad as Bush (but then who is?)
You can lie to us, but you cant lie to yourself.
