If A Chinaman Doesnt Wear A Fedora Is It News

I hate to sound like a broken record but the media's behavior should scare the shit out of everyone. Laugh now libs when its your side getting the preferential treatment but this monster is going to take on a life of its own and its not going to be good for anybody.

Theyre one step away from having us drinking Brawndo because it has electrolytes.

For fucks sake this guy had just about every major dem in his pocket and they caught him half naked escaping on a freight train, how this isnt news is besides me. Abramoff got some Injuns tax breaks and he was on the news every night for two years yet this crook convinces the Clintons to sell our military technology to the Chinese and god knows what else and the story is a buried deeper than classified documents in Sandy Berger's socks.

Sickening.

So disgusting.

What's worse though is that we're going to end up subsidizing the media. This will mean that they will be FORCED to shill for the party who holds the purse strings. So for now it's cool because they WANT to protect the party in power. When the republicans take back congress they'll be very unhappy indeed.

Democratic fundraiser convicted. OK, good the system works and not all corruption on the Republican side. American political system deeply corrupt--not really news I'm afraid.

It's really not a Republican v. Democrat thing. If there has been more corruption on the Republican side over the last eight years, I'm sure it's just because they were the ones in office. Probably more Democratic corruption during the Clinton years because he was in power, although the Republicans in the Congress had their share. There was also, as I recall, quite a bit of corruption during the Reagan years.

How is this story "not news" by the way, when you link to a news story?

Obviously there is a need for serious campaign finance reform. Not that such reform would eliminate corruption, which will never go away, human nature being what it is, but it could perhaps be reduced. But that reform would have to be passed by a Congress that is in the pocket of contributors, so I am not optimistic.

As for media bias, well any liberal media bias, or bias toward Obama, is partly a result of the fact that Obama is highly popular right now, and the Republicans not so much, and for very good reason. Also the so-called liberal media is also the corporate media, and never really challenges the system, and almost always misses the big stories, one example being the Kennedy assassination. When is the last time that the media uncovered a big story, as opposed to covering it?
