"The headquarters of Murtech, in a low-slung, bland building in a Glen Burnie business park, has its blinds drawn tight and few signs of life. On several days of visits, a handful of cars sit in the parking lot, and no trucks arrive at the 10 loading bays at the back of the building.
Yet last year, Murtech received $4 million in Pentagon work, all of it without competition, for a variety of warehousing and engineering services. With its long corridor of sparsely occupied offices and an unmanned reception area, Murtech's most striking feature is its owner -- Robert C. Murtha Jr., 49. He is the nephew of Rep. John P. Murtha, the Pennsylvania Democrat who has significant sway over the Defense Department's spending as chairman of the House Appropriations defense subcommittee.
Robert Murtha said he is not at liberty to discuss in detail what his company does, but for four years it has subsisted on defense contracts, according to records and interviews. He said Murtech's 17 employees "provide necessary logistical support" to Pentagon testing programs that focus on detecting chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear threats, "and that's about as far as I feel comfortable going." Giving more details could provide important clues to terrorist plotters, he said." link
... well since there are no more "terrorist" plotters in Obama's world shouldnt baby murtha return the money and close up shop? and uncle murtha resign?

I'm all for investigating corruption and it is certainly bipartisan. Whether Murtech is corrupt or not, I don't know. The Washington Post article really present any evidence of it, but then again it wouldn't surprise me either. If you have followed Sibel Edmonds at all then you know that corruption, and even espionage and treason, are very much bipartisan.
You are a flat out fucking liar. Investigating "all" corruption is the very last thing that you are interested in. That's why you avoid the point of the post. Murtha is a crook. He was a crook back during Abscam. He is a crook today with Murthtech and the Murtha Airport. He is Pelosi's conscience.
You debate straw men about bipartishan chicanery that we've never made. You do this because you lie to yourself about who you are and what you stand for.
I've browsed your blog and have never seen one post about a corrupt dem. Check our archives The Aurora has called bullshit on both sides.
But heaven forbid a gay republican tries to bang an adult page or toe taps in a restroom and you and the rest of the left become rabid like a pack of fat ladies trying to get through the same door to an all you can eat buffet.
If its a gop the calls for resignation are loud.
When its a dem the excuses are weak.
Just like your comment.
I have never been so naive as to think that either side is exempt from corruption. Both Democrats and Republicans are human beings, and as Twain said, "All that I care to know is that a man is a human being--that is enough for me; he can't be any worse."
Garden-variety corruption is not the focus of my blog. Although I will admit that I like a good Republican gay hooker/meth scandal. Some individual politicians are corrupt- that's bad enough. The whole political establishment is corrupt-that's worse. I mentioned Sibel Edmonds, the only American citizen ever silenced by the state secrets privilege, during the Bush administration and now, so far, during Obama's. Enough bipartisan corruption and treason for all.
Again you avoid the specifics of the topic and paint the picture with a wide brush as to avoid individual culpability when its a dem. So this discussion is over.
The sad thing is youre represntative of the leftist mainstream media. There was a time when you would have been considered fringe but these days I could pencil you in as host at any hour on MSNBC or even anchoring the nightly network news and there wouldn't be a drop of difference.
Its the media coverage that has been most corrupt of all. A tool like Murtha steal money. The media is robbing the public of the truth.
The specifics? OK, Murtha's nephew has a company that has Pentagon contracts. That's all we know.
