Why Yes I Would Like Some Tea.....

There is no political party behind these rallies, no grand right-wing conspiracy, not even a 501(c) group like MoveOn.org.

A rally and march in protest of higher taxes in Santa Barbara, Calif., April 4.
So who's behind the Tax Day tea parties? Ordinary folks who are using the power of the Internet to organize.

Obviously, I won't be attending any of these Tea Parties. (Like most Americans my taxes were lowered.) But demonstrations against the government are in the finest American tradition and I hope you both have a good time. You know what would happen to you if this actually were a fascist regime, don't you?

your taxes were lowered? i didn't know they took taxes out of unemployment....but i digress...

Do you really believe your taxes were lowered? What your income taxes? What about your utilities? No additional taxes? You don't own a cell phone? those taxes went up. How about gas? You don't drive? I hope you're not a smoker! What about health care? Doctors taxes are going up and you don't think they're just going to take it on the chin do you? How about EVERYTHING you buy from ANY big corporation? You think those companies are just going to eat the additional taxes or do you think they're going to pass it on to the consumer.

You should be paying me.

Yes if it was an actual fascist regime we would be going to the protest. Just like they protest in communist countries like venezuela today. You don't know what fascism is do you?

I worked for most of 2008 and did pay taxes. I understand that according to your warped view only tax cuts for the rich are real tax cuts. Funny though that a lot of people who benefited from tax cuts are out protesting on behalf of rich people.

And believe me, the threa of fascism in this country comes from the Right.
