Our President released some CIA documents recently. They contained some interesting information but I'm not sure the anyone read them. Our President released these documents and then says he won't be continuing the techniques that were used.
Did Obama read the documents? I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he DIDN'T read them. You read that right, I'm saying he DIDN'T read them and I HOPE I'm right.
Why? Because the other alternative is that this president won't stand up to the whack jobs and Soros sycophants(maybe because he is one) even if it means it will SAVE AN AMERICAN CITY!
CIA Confirms: Waterboarding 9/11 Mastermind Led to Info that Aborted 9/11-Style Attack on Los Angeles

"After he was subjected to the “waterboard” technique, KSM became cooperative, providing intelligence that led to the capture of key al Qaeda allies and, eventually, the closing down of an East Asian terrorist cell that had been tasked with carrying out the 9/11-style attack on Los Angeles"
Seriously, the left should be ashamed of themselves. Ashamed.
Shame? I'm pretty sure libs don't feel shame. That is an emotion reserved for people with morals.
Obama gives order to take out 3 Somalis to save a boat captain and hes applauded, Bush subjects the mastermind of 9/11 to ritual fraternity hazing to save a city, and hes the bad guy.
Torture is bad? Bad as a bullet to the head?
Libs do feel shame. Havent you been paying attention to the We Are Ashamed Of America World Tour that Obama and Clinton have been on? I swear to god Im surprised they didnt apologise to Britain for ruining their pretty red coats back in the dance dance revolution.
I am certainly prepared to alter my opinion if this story is confirmed. I am still a bit skeptical about that given the source, namely CNS News.
For fucks sake Gary, read the memos, theyre 100 pages. Its all in there. Reason I imagine Rhino linked to this story is its the only covering it (or at least not burying it)
Doesnt anyone fucking read anymore?
Why do you think Obama now is open to prosecute? Change of heart in one day? Moveon strong armed him? Nope. He fucked up releasing memos and he knows it cuz once people read them or read notes from people that read them people will support watrerboarding.

Or better yet, read the fucking memos before you come back.
Fair enough. The memo about Los Angeles is:
http://msnbcmedia.msn.com/i/msnbc/sections/news/090416_Torture_Memo2.pdf
P. 10. "You have informed us that the interrogation of KSM--once enhanced techniques were employed--led to the discovery of a KSM plot, the "Second Wave," "to use East Asian operatives to crash a hijacked airliner into" a building in Los Angeles. Effectiveness Memo at 3." And it goes on the capture of Riduan bin Isomuddin aka Hambali and the discovery of the Guruba Cell.
I would be interested in reading this "Effectiveness Memo" if it has been released. There does seem to have been some conflicting information from the CIA on the waterboarding of KSM. (See my blog post of today.) If we got some good info from him, good. I may post on this tomorrow.
This may be forgotten at times in our exchanges, but we are on the same side.
This Voice of America story is interesting: http://www.voanews.com/english/archive/2006-02/2006-02-10-voa53.cfm
See: http://www.slate.com/id/2216601/
Raises two good points: 1) was flying planes into tall buildings really a viable al qaeda strategy after 9/11?
And second, the alleged plot, serious or not, was broken up before KSM was waterboarded.
Hmm...could the CIA lawyer in the memo have stretched the truth a bit. I know, it's hard to believe that of a lawyer, especially a CIA lawyer.
One quote from the article, in case you don't read it:
"an unnamed senior FBI official would later tell the Los Angeles Times that Bush's characterization of it as a "disrupted plot" was "ludicrous"—that plot was foiled in 2002. But Sheikh Mohammed wasn't captured until March 2003."
Like I said, I'm skeptical.
You should read this too:

Says the CIA's questioning worked, based on the Library Tower thing. The CIA always gets it's side of the story in The Washington Post (not CNS).
1. i linked cns because it was the most convenient. they didn't alter the memos they just did a story on them.
2. i disagree with donkey. i think obama flipped on the potential prosecutions precisely because he was strong armed by soros.
3. is anyone else scared by the fact that obama says his justice dept. might prosecute the LAWYERS WHO WROTE THE OPINIONS for the CIA? Literally THOUGHT POLICE. If you disagree with Obamas idea of torture you could be prosecuted for giving your opinion!
I would think that the libs, if they actually had ANY principles would be very upset by this, but as usual with the left, it all depends on "who's ox is being gored."
Did you read the Slate article or the others I linked?
I was prepared to alter my opinion based on new evidence but not on new bullsit. KSM was captured and tortured in March 2003. The supposed Library Tower plot was broken up in 2002, according to the Bush administration, although apparently it never got beyond the talking stage.
Once again, you will jump at any piece of alleged information that supports what you want to believe. Whereas I looked at both sides and all the facts.
