Only Matter Of Time....
I look at the language of the Fed when they say that theyll decide if its in the public good whether or not to allow banks to payback TARP money and then I look at the hysteria of the left regarding global warming and cant help but think its only a matter of time before Obama goes all Hugo Chavez and nationalizes the oil industry.

I have to say though, nationalizing the oil companies not the worst idea I've ever heard.
I knew you'd say "ice melts." It's such a stupid thing to say that I knew you'd go for it. Of course the north pole hasn't been ice free in our lifetime or our parents or grandparents but yeah ice melts.
The problem with solar variance of course is that the sun isn't getting warmer. Did it ever occur to you that scientists can and have monitored solar radiation? That's your argument, all the scientists are stupid. Stupider than you?
And no I never minimized CO2 just because I mentioned methane which is also a greenhouse gas

1. Ive already proven myself stupid by even engaging you in debate.
2. Ice does indeed melt, its what it does. The ice in question will have little impact on sea levels, since it is sea ice we are talking about.
3. Any melting of said sea ice is in fact a result of unusually cold winters accelerating artic flow. Just ignore this point, its beyond your grasp.
4. Yes that is my argument, any scientist that ignores the sun or any other factors regarding temperature variations are indeed stupid, or have an agenda....hmmm.

Seeing that you have absolutely nothing to add to the gw debate let me get back on track.
Do I think Obama will nationalize oil, probably not but not for a lack of want. What he is going to do is over-regulate it and over-tax it so much that in his words consumer's bill will skyrocket. Funny thing about cap n trade is that the Evil Enron was its biggest lobbyist. How does it feel to be in bed with the devil?
The upside is it will finally give me cause to move to Houston and become an energy trader.
Downside? Just the crippling of the energy industry as we know it. That is your plan anyways so it works out perfectly for you neo-agrarian socialist commie pinko luddite bastards.

2. You're right about sea levels re artic ice. But ice reflects sunlight back into space and that won't happen w/o ice. And the melting arctic ice is due to GW, according to scientists as opposed to donkeys.
3. Scientist don't ignore the sun. The sun is constantly measured. That's how the scientists knew that the possible GW on Mars wasn't due to solar variance, because they didn't observe any.
4.Not I didn't. I mentioned that melting permafrost will release methane.

I know you're against cap and trade. Why try to do something about a problem (GW) that you don't acknowledge exists. The GW deniers however have lost the debate in the scientific and political communities, although admittedly not in the rightwing blogosphere.
