Petty? Vindictive?

Yup. And more importantly he's a bad peson.

You want to kill a baby born alive? No problem.

You want government funding for stem cell research? No prob.... ummm... wait we're talking embyro's right? The kind that has NEVER shown any promise or result? No problem

You want government funding for stem cell research that you can use instead of embryo's? Ummm.. wait let me check with the baby killers .... ummm i mean NARAL...... Ummmm they say NO, so i say NO.

Lets go kill some babies.

Hey good job by the MSM by the way for reporting this......Oh that's right, they didn't.

With a great deal of fanfare, President Obama signed an executive order on stem cell research last week. The most controversial element of his new directive is a short, harmless-looking clause that you probably haven’t heard about. People on all sides of the stem cell controversy should call this particular decision what it is: A disgrace

As for the stem cell thing, I agree with Nancy Reagan and I support embryonic stem cell research. Embryos are not babies.

As for the babies born alive thing. It doesn't make much sense to try to kill the baby, and then hook it up to life support if it survives the abortion. How about banning late-term abortion instead? I would support that, and so would Obama, providing there is an exception to protect the life of the mother. Does that make too much sense? But then that might remove abortion as a political issue.

I would support measures to reduce the number of abortions. Contraception comes to mind, except that most of the religious nuts oppose contraception also.

Unfortunately, about 20-25% of the American people think that a zygote is a person, and that God created the world 6000 years ago. But we can't base public policy on fantasies.

Basically you stand for killing babies. Ok. I've never spoken to a parent that was in favor killing babies. I feel sorry for your daughter, but since she'll probably be dancing on a pole in a few years or be pregnant with her second child with the second different man by her junior year in highschool i guess she's a lost cause anyway.

So you would ban late term abortion? Why? You don't have any problem killing a baby that's actually born, so what's the difference? And Obama would NOT support it. That's funny or actually just stupid.

Finally, like all liberals you completely avoid the point and start yelling religious nuts or something else to change the subject.

Why did he ban the funding for the other stem cell research? The only plausible reason is because he wanted to kill more embryos.

Do you have another explanation?

You can't possibly be that stupid. Didn't I say that I was in favor of banning late term abortion? Not just so-called partial birth abortion, but all abortion in the third trimester, unless necessary to preserve the life of the mother. Before that I am pro-choice.

Obama didn't ban funding for research on other types of stem cells. He merely lifted the ban on research on embryonic stem cells. They're not babies, they're cells. I support research on both. Leave the science to the scientists. Embryos are not babies. Zygotes are not babies.

We all started as zygotes. One cell organisms. Potential human beings. That cell contains a blueprint for a person, its not a person. At any rate, the concept of person is a legal, philosophical and religious one, and please do not attempt to impose your religious views on me, or my daughter, who is a better person than you are.

Ok, so you didn't read the story. HE DID BAN FEDERAL FUNDING FOR OTHER TYPES.

My fault, because i should have made it clear that the highlighted portion contains a link.

Again, i don't understand why you would favor killing a baby who is already born but at the same time say you would ban late term abortions? Why? You have no respect for life so what's the difference.

Before the third trimester the fetuses are not viable. Banning late term abortion takes care of the baby-born-alive problem. Even if a four or five month fetus was still alive after an abortion, it would have no chance of surviving and it would make no sense to put it on life support. The whole point of an abortion is to kill it. Personally, I don't like abortion but I believe that it should be a matter of choice.

And Obama has not prohibited research on adult stem cells, regardless of what the guy in your link says. He's wrong.

1. You're wrong as usual. My sister was born at 5 months. She's now 36 years old.

2.You said it doesn't make sense to try to save a baby that was born alive due to a botched abortion.

Therefore we know you're NOT a doctor and actually don't know shit about abortion or babies.

We also know you're either an apologist, or a hyporcrite. If you don't care about saving a baby who was born alive then how can you say you don't like abortion?

Finally, i didn't say he banned the research. I said he banned the FUNDING. Seriously just read the story. Reading is fun and mental.

Jesus. Obama didn't ban the FUNDING of research on adult stem cells either. He didn't. Link guy is WRONG. Is that clear enough?

I didnt read link and I didnt read anyones comments so I dont have much to say until I catch up but I will say this from what I know of this bill is that its yet another example of Obama's failure to lead. Once again he is letting someone else call the shots. He has no fucking clue what hes doing.

Speaking of babies...

Q: what's the difference between a dead baby and a sandwich?

A: I don't have sex with my sandwich before I eat it.

Well not usually.

You know what's funnier than a dead baby? A dead baby in a clown suit.

Gary are you really that obtuse or are you just playing semantics.

He revoked the order that provides federal funding for the stem cell research done on cells that mimic embryonic stem cells. In other words, like your bullshit late term abortion argument, it ELIMINATES THE NEED TO USE EMBRYOS.

Why would he revoke that?

Bush's order encouraged research on adult stem cells and banned funding on research on embryonic stem cells. Obama revoked the order. Therefore, the law now allows funding on both. Federal funding on scientific research is legal unless banned. Many scientists believe that embryonic stem cells are more promising. I say do both.
