The way libs throw around the term McCarthyism (erroneously) I wonder if they fully understand the irony of Barney Frank now demanding the naming of names of the AIG bonus recepients and Sen Schumer threating to use taxation as a weapon against all those on the AIG lisp list.

I haven't been following the AIG bonus controversy all that closely. I'm not familiar with AIG's contracts or the details of the AIG bail-out. But, in general, I don't think you should get a bonus for disastrously fucking up. I mean, I never have. Its been amusing watching Conservatives try to defend the bonuses, a losing proposition politically if there ever was one.
So, please go on defending the Bush administrations economic policies, the AIG bonuses, and tax cuts for the rich. Go on crying about the poor embryos. (You know that embryos can be frozen and kept in the freezer. Try that with a baby.) You're just ensuring Democratic control for years to come.

...and I hate to be the one to break this to you, but your side is losing the argument on AIG as its no longer about bonuses but the incompetency of Frank, Dodd, Obama et al.

Speaking of terrorists, one thing I have noticed is that a number of people released from Guantanomo and other sites, are saying that they were tortured, and with considerable evidence to back them up. Now there are only two possibilities: 1) the Bush administration tortured terrorists and then released them or 2) the Bush administration tortured innocent people and then released them. Which is it? I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm against torturing terrorists, but I'm just as opposed to releasing terrorists. And I'm certainly opposed to torturing innocent people.
