Buy The Fat Bastard A Six Pack And Call It A Day

Here at The Aurora we are men of principle first party second and will not hesitate to let the bullshit flag fly be damned which side of the aisle it lands. In our first month blogging we called out the Bridge To Nowhere as but one example, and havent looked back since.

Speaking of bridges, if she were alive today Im not sure how Mary Jo would have felt about Don Young, but we have a pretty good idea how she'd feel about this...

"More than one out of every five dollars of the $126 million Massachusetts is receiving in earmarks from a $410 billion federal spending package is going to help preserve the legacy of the Kennedys." link

So as the Dems rail against the bonuses of Wall St. they slip in a buck twenty five for Ol' Teddy? Kind of sounds like a bonus to me.

See this is the shit that pisses people off. The hypocrisy of Washington.

Obama and the Dems are slamming corporate retreats (good job crushing Vegas) as they take taxpayer funded retreats and dine on wagyu beef at White House Superbowl parties. Whats the matter toughnuts guacamole and wings aint good enough for ya? Hell even Jimmy Carter the incompetent and negative fuck that he was put on a sweater in solidarity.

People are struggling with their mortgages and losing their homes all while Dodd gets a sweetheart 0% rate and gifted a waterfront home in Ireland. link

Listen, you want to say that dems won gop lost this is the way it is I can buy that. Like earth's climate politics are cyclical. Like it or not we are a two party system and each side gets to do their thing when they have the reins but isnt it time the dems started being honest about it.

When a Republican wins an election he tells you what hes gonna do and you damn well know hes gonna do it. No mystery there (for the most part, McCain wouldve been a loose cannon). Was it a shock to anyone that Bush cut taxes? Dems lie through their fucking teeth and run from their true intentions to get elected then try and pull as much crap as they can get away with before people catch on.

Some schmo plumber apprentice shook the great and powerful Ozbama with one simple question and thats why they had to destroy Joe. He asked a a question that elicited an actual to goodness honest response, and it polled poorly. Obama didnt learn his lesson apparently cuz the spin was back on after answering pretty much the same question for the times and had to drunk dial them later to "clarify", and by clarify I mean bash Bush. Correct answer is, yes you are a socialist.

Bottom line dems you wanna do your thing, do it, but be honest about it. The hopenchange and Bush is the devil rhetoric aint solving anything so how bout this for a suggestion, do your fucking job and stop yer bitchin'. The sooner it can fail so we can take back Congress in '10 you fargin corksoakers.

and another thing.....

Be wary of crying the populist wolf as the pitchfork may come back and bite you in the ass.

Ah, yes HONESTY, that's what the Bush administration was known for. In what bizarre parallel world? Like when he praised the October 2001-revised FISA law and told the American public they had nothing to worry about because all taps required a court order? Or when he said we didn't torture?

I will grant you though that he did cut taxes for the rich, after falsely claiming his cuts would primarily benefit the middle class.

There's a whole website devoted to Bush lies, called I think bushlies.net

I am trying to look forward but Jesus Fucking Christ. Next you'll be saying that the Bush administration was well known for competence.

We will continue to eavesdrop on suspected terrorists under Obama, just as we did under Bush, under Clinton, under Bush I, under Reagan, under Carter etc

We will continue smacking around suspected terrorists to retrieve information under Obama , just as we did under Bush, under Clinton, under Bush I, under Reagan, under Carter etc.

If your gripe is seriously that Bush was mean to terrorists then you need to wake up move on and grow up.

Compare what Bush did to how FDR treated the Japs and Germans (on American soil), or how Lincoln treated the Copperheads in the Civil War. Shit hits the fan in times of war and it aint always pretty.

Seriously dude, grow the fuck up.

My point was that Bush wasn't honest. If it turns out that Obama continutes illegal wiretaps and torture I will be the first to criticize him. The recently leaked Red Cross report confirms that prisoners were tortured. Torture degrades not only the person being tortured but the people doing the torture and America as a whole. I am all for tapping suspected terrorists, just do it within the law. There is good reason to believe that the Bush administration listened in on a hell of a lot of people who were not terrorists, including journalists. Some conservatives (very few) criticized Bush for this. I don't recall that you were among that number though.

Torture is illegal, immoral and counterproductive. I say put a stop to it. Grow a conscience.

I never did mind about the little things.

Little things like morality, the Constitution and the rule of law? But you get all bent out of shape about money for the Kennedy Museum? Really, check out the American Freedom Agenda website to see what real conservatives look like.

Yeah thats right. I care more about how my money is spent than how a terrorist is treated. Call me crazy.

Speaking of crazy.

Theres alot I like about Ron Paul, but hes off his fucking rocker. I want to like him more but hes off his fucking rocker. His support of the AFA being a prime example.

Until there's a Moslem Freedom Agenda calling for the halting of beheadings and suicide bombings Im sorry Gary but I just dont give a fuck about how terrorists are treated.

My conscience is clean.

If yours is why are you so worried bout being listened to?

What are you hiding?

gary said...

How do you feel about torturing people who were not terrorists?Because it happened. My conscience is clean too. I opposed the torture.

Donkeyhue said...

Youre grasping.

I agree with you that Ron Paul is kind of a nut but I agree with the AFA. I think American Presidents should follow the law. Naive, perhaps. Torture is wrong. Simple as that. Also it doesn't work. Especially if you torture people who weren't guilty of anything. Also some of the people tortured, not many but some, were American citizens who are supposed to have certain rights. Citizens or not though everyone has a right not to be tortured. It's the law. Actually under the law its a war crime, a capital offense actually. Really the Bush people should just STFU and be glad they are not in prison.
