Happy New Year

For the last post of 2008 I wanted to pick my favorite story of the year. I thought I could go through all of the previous posts and pick out the one that i liked the best and then reprint it with some new commentary. Then I thought maybe I should include other sources besides just the Aurora, like maybe newspapers or other blogs and then........ I realized that I'm just too lazy to do all of that work.
So what I finally decided to do was post a story that I meant to post a few days ago but never got the chance. It would definitely be one of my top ten stories of the year anyway and I get another opportunity to laugh at the global warming idiots.

2008 was the year man-made global warming was disproved
Looking back over my columns of the past 12 months, one of their major themes was neatly encapsulated by two recent items from The Daily Telegraph.

The first, on May 21, headed "Climate change threat to Alpine ski resorts" , reported that the entire Alpine "winter sports industry" could soon "grind to a halt for lack of snow". The second, on December 19, headed "The Alps have best snow conditions in a generation" , reported that this winter's Alpine snowfalls "look set to beat all records by New Year's Day".

Gregory and 'MTP' Guests Defend Blago: It's 'How the World Works'

The media defense of disgraced Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and corruption in politics continued Sunday morning as new "Meet the Press" host David Gregory, along with his guests, actually defended Blago's actions as "pay to play" business as usual that's just "part of the system" and "how the world works."

Such seems an astounding about face from the press's disgust and incessant focus on the so-called "Republican culture of corruption" that surrounded the reporting of former Republican Majority Leader Tom DeLay's travails in 2006, as well as the attention given to Jack Abramoff the same year in order to assist the Democrat takeover of both chambers of Congress that November.

Amazingly, two years later, the corruption in Illinois involving not only a Democrat governor, but also having some links to folks connected to the newly-elected Democrat president-elect, are just "part of the system" and "how the world works"

The point to take home from this is that this is yet another example of how the media is no longer concerned with the truth per se as they are with defending their party, the democrats. Control of the media by or for one political party is the first phase of fascism and should be of the greater concern here than some sleazeball politician with a motorycle helmet dome pawning off power.

Its the media stupid.

--Asked what contact he'd had with the governor's office about his replacement in the Senate, President-elect Obama today said "I had no contact with the governor or his office and so we were not, I was not aware of what was happening."

But on November 23, 2008, his senior adviser David Axelrod appeared on Fox News Chicago and said something quite different.

While insisting that the President-elect had not expressed a favorite to replace him, and his inclination was to avoid being a "kingmaker," Axelrod said, "I know he's talked to the governor and there are a whole range of names many of which have surfaced, and I think he has a fondness for a lot of them." --

The differences between Obama and Hillary as candidates were slim to none during the primary.
Except for two major campaign themes that kept coming up. Over and over and over again.

Obama was too inexperienced said Hillary.

Hillary's foreign policy was dead wrong said Obama.

Now Obama has named Hillary Secretary of State.

That makes sense.

This is a follow-up to the previous post from Rhinoculous. This will be an ongoing post to expose the America Haters involved in this conspiracy to steal this country away from its citizens. In the spirit of The Great American Sen Joe McCarthy I will henceforth be known as McDonkeyhue and will do my small part to reveal these traitors for the commies that they truly are.

...Casey Nethercott was not arrested at the scene of the "alleged crime" where he gave the "victims" blankets and cookies. He was arrested days later strictly on the whim of janet napolitano by issuing a "Governors Warrant" under the cloud of the Patriot Act...you didnt read that incorrectly...The Patriot Act was used against an American Citizen who was defending his property and the border of this country from the invasion of illegal aliens to further her socialist agenda and perhaps garner a few illegal votes to boot. He was not convicted of the fraudulent charges brought against him by the Salvadorian criminals, but for illegal possession of a firearm (got second amendment?) janet has been called the illegal aliens governor and for good reason. In her three years as governor of Arizona she has vetoed bills one which would deny in-state tuition and day care for illegal aliens and one that would allow law enforcement to do their jobs and enforce immigration laws, she has vetoed a bill making English the official language, and she has vetoed a voter identification bill only to be corrected by the U.S. Department of Justice . This from a woman that declares a "State of Emergency" regarding the illegal alien situation in her state (see Richardson NM) to receive federal funds and to look tough on crime and then has the audacity to throw a paltry 1.5 million at the problem while her state spends more than 2 million for a bicycle/pedestrial bridge in Phoenix. In the plainest language I can summon I hereby declare in my opinion that Gov. Janet Napolitano does not love her State, does not love her Country. She has consistently vetoed the voters of Arizona's wishes and betrayed the oath of office she swore to uphold. She is a bad person and I predict her career in politics will be brief albeit damaging. Arizonans take back your state in '06 .
