Last night i watched the best 1-2 punch i've ever seen in a political convention.
Rudy was incredible. Some of his most effective lines....
"Change is not a destination, just like hope is not a strategy"
"Then he ran for the state legislature, where nearly 130 times he was unable to make a decision yes or no. He simply voted 'present.'" ...... "he couldn't decide........ it was too tough!"
Really just hands down one of the best speeches all around.
Sarah Palin, well what can i say. She was witty, sarcastic, factual, and just on point all night. Lots of gut shots.
"But listening to him speak, it's easy to forget that this is a man who has authored two memoirs but not a single major law or reform - not even in the state senate."
" This is a man who can give an entire speech about the wars America is fighting, and never use the word "victory" except when he's talking about his own campaign."
And one of the most effective lines that i heard was....
"I might add that in small towns, we don't quite know what to make of a candidate who lavishes praise on working people when they are listening, and then talks about how bitterly they cling to their religion and guns when those people aren't listening.
We tend to prefer candidates who don't talk about us one way in Scranton and another way in San Francisco. "

I couldn't agree more Rhino. Did I just write that? The GOP is a snowball rolling down an Alaskan mountain side. The convention has so far showed that the GOP is at least a party of substance even if you don't agree with everything. The libs have so far been a party of dementia. All they have is personal attacks and just make shit up. I thought in the beginning that Obama would win just because the libs would rally, fueled by their hatred for the Bush administration. Now I believe that anyone with an IQ over 40 (I would have gone higher but I had to get Rhino in the group) will see that the GOP is real.
If you could kindly raise the IQ requirement 10 basis points to include me that would be great.
Great speech and while the left will try and spin it to say it lacked substance I will rebut them with three words.
Drill. Drill. Drill.
-Pelosi shuts down Congress to avoid a vote on off-shore drilling
-Obama babbles about tire pressure
-Gov Palin wants to lay pipe
Dont take a rocket surgeon to see which one of those options is a solution of substance.
...and not for nothing but Im pretty sure Gov Palin was throwing me some serious fuck me eyes through the television last night.
When Palin said "lay some pipe" I wanted to vote right then and there. Can it be possible that we will have a HOT female VP? I love this country!
it is possible and if she can keep up with this type of performance we WILL have a hot V.P.
