The days of self respecting anonymity and pride in ones self and good works in and of itself is no longer paramount to our self worth as Americans. Ones validity it seems is only to be validated by a book deal or morning show junkets.
Case in point, and Ill kill two jackassery issues at the same time.
Let me sum this whole Gonzalez/ firings non-scandal up real quick.
THE ATTORNEYS ARE F-IN DISGRUNTLED EMPLOYEES
Maybe I am biased, as I have never been fired from a job, but lets be realistic, these are the folks under different circumstances that we would read about in the morning papers walking into their old employ with an automatic, gunning down the receptionist. Only difference is now they run to Matt Lauer instead, expecting face time and six figure advances as they file discrimination lawsuits and cry to bogus investigative committees.

Well that pretty much says it all.
I didn't like the Gonzales appointment to begin with, and I think he's a bonehead for botching this non-event and allowing the dems the opportunity to turn this non scandal into a non scandal before committee, but so help me baby Jesus, if he wimps out and allows these hypocritical frauds on the left to force his resignation over nothing, I will personally hunt him down and give him a strong talking to.
It says alot about the differences between the parties, how when confronted with adversity, the GOP will cannibalize their own, right (Foley) or wrong (Lott) and crickets when it happens on the left.
Pelosi gives political favors in return for campaign donations to Sunkist.....nothing
Jefferson gets caught red handed with marked bills accepting bribes....nothing
Kennedy drunk drives all hopped up on goofballs down a one way street.....nothing
McKinney assaults a cop......nothing
Feinstein awards hubby's corp billions in fed contracts....nothing
Carter fired most and Clinton fired all the attorneys....nothing
Gonzales fires for political reasons attorneys that were appointed for political reasons.....something
On one hand the street in me respects the dems sticktogetherness, but on the other, to quote the esteemed Eric Cartman....democrats piss me off.

Also, where's the health care and immigration bills the Dems were so hot to deliver on?? Huh, huh?? Too busy buttlicking the murderous Syrians. Maybe Nancy is going to speak with Hezballah and Hamas while she's in the area. They are soooo goood with the social programs. She can also get some tips on how to slaughter some of her Christian political opposition.
The GOP are frickin wimps too. They lost a golden opportunity here. With all thats going on domestic and abroad, they should have man'ed up and said fuck it, NOONE goes on vacation until some shit gets down.
...and Pelosi should be arrested on site upon here re-entry of American soil. Syrian law forbids those that have visited Israel entry into their country, yet she got a pass...that is very telling. Something is amuck.
