UMMM What?

HILLARY PROPOSES $5,000 FOR EVERY U.S. BABY

John Edwards: 'Pretty Soon' All Young African-American Men Will Be Dead or in Prison...

REPORTS: Tom Cruise building 'bunker to protect against alien attack'...

Ahmadinejad Cements Ties With Venezuela's Chavez, Declares 'No One Can Defeat Us'...

PELOSI: Border fence 'a terrible idea'...

How stupid can these people get? The democrat party is going straight to the idiots!

What's that? They're not part of the democrat party? You mean Tom Cruise right?

Truth to Power?

You don't want to judge Christ by Christians, someone once said. He is perfect, they are not.
In a similar way you don't want to judge capitalism by capitalists, or the legitimacy of democracy by the Democrats, or the vitality of our republic by the Republicans. You have to take the thing pure and in itself, while allowing for the flaws and waywardness of its practitioners.

The Stairmaster

Some people just aren't cut out for the service industry for any number of reasons.

For example; I am a horrible bartender although I make a great drink, know the industry like the back of my hand, and would no doubt draw the female customers in droves. It's just something about drunken idjits snapping their fingers and waving Action Jacksons that doesn't sit well with me as was my case when I tended bar at the old Harrigans of Hoboken and half-strangled a yuppie with his own tie for telling me to chop chop.

Or the vendor at Shea who recently handed me a hot dog to give to the guy two rows two frickin' rows behind me at which point I threw it on the ground out of disgust at her laziness. Okay maybe it was more of a drop than a throw but you get the gist.

It didn't even make sense.

She walked three rows to get to me yet couldn't push herself to go that extra mile or in this case five feet to service the paying customer, not to mention the audacity to inconvenience an innoncent third party not involved in the transaction. Im frickin' watching a game here!

Now granted she was a big girl and I mean big, even Sir Mix-A-Lot would have second thoughts about this one, but that's no excuse. She knew what she was getting into when she accepted the job.

And that is my point.

Just as I know that since I have/had a propensity for knocking out drunken idjits in pubs disqualifies me from working in that field so too should the fat chick with an aversion for stairs realize that maybe just maybe that a fifty thousand seat stadium isnt the best work environment for her either.

.... same goes for the waiter that can't read the menu

.... the delivery guy without change for a twenty

.... the cabbie that can't drive

.... the massuesue without that extra special skill required

.... or the bartender that doesnt get me my frickin' drink in time, chop chop motherfucker!!!

The Soros Threat To Democracy
By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY
Posted Monday, September 24, 2007 4:20 PM PT

Democracy: George Soros is known for funding groups such as MoveOn.org that seek to manipulate public opinion. So why is the billionaire's backing of what he believes in problematic? In a word: transparency.

How many people, for instance, know that James Hansen, a man billed as a lonely "NASA whistleblower" standing up to the mighty U.S. government, was really funded by Soros' Open Society Institute , which gave him "legal and media advice"?

That's right, Hansen was packaged for the media by Soros' flagship "philanthropy," by as much as $720,000, most likely under the OSI's "politicization of science" program.

You Are What You Is

We are oft chided for our seemingly wanton usage of the term traitor, a word that I have to admit that I am not all that comfortable using, when describing liberals.

What bothers me most is that its accurate.

Unlike say how libs will call Conservatives fascists while turning a blind eye as their golden couple, the Clintons kill yet another movie or magazine piece for the crime of dissenting.

Or how they accuse gop'ers of being homophobes as they publicly mock aka gay bash the alleged toe tapping antics of their opposition.

Democrat dogma is to constantly tell blacks that they are inferior and that they do not need to score as high as whitey on civil servant exams and college admissions yet they cry foul about Republican racism.

No, unlike those examples I think traitor hits the nail on the fuckin' head when describing most libs.

To put a face on it look no further than Columbia University as they cheer for enemy of the state and madman mahmoud yet storm the stage to silence the xenophobic Minuteman and whose school policy is to deny one of this Country's finest organizations the ROTC campus access.

Liberalism is dead. There are no more great liberal ideas just empty contrarian criticism of Bush, the Republicans and yes their own Country.

So sadly until proven otherwise I think Ill stick with traitor and you can just go ahead calling me nazi even though it is your ilk and your party members that gave the standing o to the guy calling for the annihilation of Israel. Nice job. Let know how that works for you... fuckin' traitors.

Dan Dont Go Away Mad, Dan Just Go Away

Now this is just sad, so very very sad and yeah that's right I gotta call it out, indicative of the liberal victim mindset. Any semblance of respectability Dan Rather once had has gone out the window and is soon to be met by his dignity upon shedding his first tear on Oprah's couch.

I was watching cable news this morn as he made a pit stop on his woe is me tour and a few thing stuck out....

First he claimed that his apology wasn't sincere and in fact wasn't even written by his own person. Well that doesn't really come as a surprise to me, but isn't that what got him in trouble in the first place... reporting (well reading a telefunken u47 teleprompter) something that wasn't true?

Then he went on to make the incredulous claim that he now once again stands by the story and that no one, repeat no one, ever doubted the veracity of story itself or more specifically the fraudulent memo used as evidence. Umm yeah about that... yes they did, quite vocally actually. In fact, I believe the memo in question was disproved and the source discredited within hours of your broadcast.

...ain't the internet great.

It's going to make rewriting history a heckuva lot more difficult, but y'all can keep trying. At least you still have the re-education camps, I mean schools.

Ive got a September surprise for you, youre a jackass, you were a perennial loser in the ratings and you made shit up in hopes of swaying an election. Hit the bricks.

"It's like you're dreamin' about Gorgonzola cheese when it's clearly Brie time, baby. Step into my office. 'Cause you're fuckin' fired!"

So once again I must ask.....

What the fuck is the matter with these people?

Insanity

Some Oregon high schools are adopting Mexico's public school curriculum to help educate Spanish-speaking students

No need to learn to speak english or anything. I mean we don't want to make anyone uncomfortable or anything.

AL GORE has a story he wants to tell the world. But it will cost you a thousand dollars to hear it.

But i'm sure it's not about the money! No he's doing it because he believes in the message.... and he uses the private jets and the suv's because he pays for carbon credits....... because carbon credits ummm save ..... ummm help the...... ummmm

Rabble Rousing Racist Jesse Jackson At It Again

update: must read

Kill Whitey (just dont use props)

More than usual Ive been getting liquored up lately so Ive been laxadaisical on my news viewing, and this story flew under my radar until now, maybe because not unlike Stephen Colbert I dont see color or maybe because its a bogus cause du jour that uses race as an excuse to defend violent racist acts all the while crying racism against whitey.

So......

Hanging a noose from a tree.... bad

Kicking the shit out some kid because of his race.....ok

Lets shoot straight here, hanging a noose is pretty fucked up stuff, but backed by a NEA grant some might consider it artistic expression and if we are to follow the law of the land The United States Constitution then we must at the very least agree that it is protected free speech, whether we like it or not.

That being said, if someone took offense, then there are legal channels to address the situation and putting a beat down on someone isn't one of them, just as it would have been wrong for William Donohue of The Catholic League to crack Mapplethorpe upside the head with a two by four for putting a crucifix in a jar of urine.

Bad taste, depending on the situation may or may not be against the law and usually isnt, but vigilantism and its scorn for legal due process is a crime any way you slice it and no matter how bad the Jenna Six's feeling were hurt they need to be punished accordingly for their crimes against humanity.

Fuck the Jenna Six!

The Liberal Media Pisses Me (abram)Off

Where did these knuckleheads get their journalism degrees....

.... Columbia or Colombia?

bah dum dump

Good thing OJ is back in the news, it gives the lib media cover for ignoring the damned if it wasn't made for television saga about a pill popping suicidal shirtless train hopping fifteen year fugitive and fat cat political dem donor Norman Hsu and the complicity of the whore mongering Hillary campaign who all too willingly accepts any and all donations from even the most dubious of sources.

Well if that scandal barely received any coverage I think its safe to say that we're not going to hear much about some shady dime a dozen trial attorney Melvyn Weiss who most notably had former Comptroller of the State of New York and current felon Alan Hevesi as well as my favorite Governor, the pink poodle of Poughkeepsie himself....Eliot Spitzer in his pocket.

Now Im not saying that the dems should be held to a higher level of accountability what Im asking is that they be held to the same level as the GOP, because until that happens no real reform can take place in politics. How could it?

Reality Bites

Here at The Aurora we don't shout down the opposition, we don't throw pies at the guest speaker, and unlike the hit maker Barry Manilow we don't boycott those we disagree with.

In a world where the tragedy that is Iraq is usually discussed only in media sound bites and political slogans, it is especially gratifying to see an adult, intelligent, and insightful account of life inside Iraq by someone who lived there for nine months in the early days of the occupation in 2003 and 2004, and who saw the fundamental mistakes that would later plague the attempt to create a viable Iraqi government.

Huge Tracts Of Water

Coming to an arena near you..... Gordon Lightfoot headlining the LakeAid Concert Series. Silly greenies, it takes more than a rock concert to save the planet.

The sooner we come to the conclusion that the Earth will not end in the next ten years at the hands of the socialist made up man made global warming scare the sooner we can get back to addressing real issues.

Such as....

Rethinking Green
By Dennis Behreandt

They don’t get public attention like the Grand Canyon. Unlike Yosemite, their vistas are not depicted in the ethereal black and white of photographs by Ansel Adams. Unlike Yellowstone, they aren’t in a vast national park. Despite this, they dominate the geography of America like no other geological formation save the Rocky Mountains. This much-overlooked natural wonder is the Great Lakes. Taken together, Lakes Superior, Michigan, Huron, Erie, and Ontario comprise an immense and varied ecosystem and contain the largest quantity of fresh water anywhere in the world.

Their size alone is awe-inspiring. Lake Superior is larger in area than the state of South Carolina. With a maximum depth of 1,333 feet, Superior contains enough fresh water to cover the entire landmass of North and South America with a foot of water. And that’s just Superior. Combined, the lakes contain 6 quadrillion gallons of water, enough says Wisconsin Natural Resources, a magazine published by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, “to cover the lower 48 states to a depth of 9.5 feet.” That’s a lot of water. Yet even though these lakes contain immense amounts of fresh water, they are having problems with declining water levels. With lakes of this size, that’s a very large problem.

The problem with water levels in the Great Lakes, though, is just one environmental problem. But the existence of this problem is largely unknown outside the Great Lakes region. There are other, similar problems around the country — and, in fact, around the world. Unlike glamour causes like the much over-hyped issue of global warming,* these regional concerns continue to go unnoticed. While these problems may not find themselves featured any time soon as the central apocalyptic plot device in a Hollywood sci-fi blockbuster, they are real nonetheless and, though this may surprise some, have often been exacerbated by shortsighted government intervention in the environment.

Four Out Of Four Aurorans Agree

Ok our hand has been forced by the incessant media coverage. We will take a stand on The Britney situation.

I have yet to get vocal confirmation from Warlike, but knowing how the brothas are I think can safely say that The Aurorans are in agreement on this.

We'd still bang her.

So, she's got that going for her.

Dont Be A Zero Get With The Hero

Just as the cold Russian winter enabled the Soviets to mount a counter-offensive on the Nazis giving the Allied Forces a cake walk into Berlin.

General Washington taking advantage of the alcoholism of German Hessians in Trenton.

...or even more recently the explosion of Silicon Valley stocks culminating in even the shoeshine boy rejoicing at his four for one Qualcom stock splits allowed Bill Clinton to take credit for a surging economy of which not a single one of his policies had an impact on.

So too now we must not look a gift horse in the mouth and make excuses for the success in Anbar. How it happened is of less importance then the fact that it has happened and the dems poo pooing about the loss of their beloved headline grabbing quagmire that but a year ago they were proclaiming loudly from every major news outlet was lost lost and gone forever isn't going to change that.

I normally have no respect for band-wagon fans in the sports world and still dont but in this case I wont begrudge the dems whom after being thoroughly schooled by Gen. Petraeus if they decide to run out and buy a USA jersey and start root root rooting for the home team because although the game was ugly..... we've got the lead, it's the ninth inning and we've got our motherfucking ace closer, the United States Marines on the mound throwing 96 mph high heat. Is This Really What It's Come To.......

Apparently it seems that racist, fascist, misogynist, and homophobe were on vacation so the dems have had to make the desperate move of stealing their material from Julio down by the schoolyard.

Yeah that right, they've broken out the big gun in political discourse.... liar liar pants on fire.

I say this will all sincerity and not a hint of malice, but the modern Democrat Party may very well be the most incompetent party we have seen since the days of the American Vegetarian Party.

Lets recap Petraeus' testimony: Iraq is a shitstorm, it will be worse if we surrender, we are making both military and political progress, and we can begin to draw down troops almost immediately.

The dem response......

Nuh uh!

Pathetic!

I was watching MSNBC this morning and Christopher Hitchens was on, who love him or hate him (of which I fall in both categories) he is hands down one of the most articulate, intelligent and downright hilarious characters on the scene these days. When introduced as pro-war, he corrected the host by saying.....

"I am not pro-war, I am pro-our side and unlike those on the "peace side" who are actively and not so actively siding with the fascist islamist radicals I will root for us even if we are losing"

That's what Ive been saying all along and like I just told Rhino in his defense of Rutgers fans... "there is rooting for your team and good sportsmanship and then there is obnoxious belligerence"

I think you know in which camp I think the dems pitch their tent.

EE-Aw!!!

Well I say Fuck Rutgers, and while Im at it fuck the entire state of New Jersey.

... and fuck Navy too.

Going Off The Rails

Okay this not my usual partisan polemics and has nothing to do with the fact that I think democrats are bigger scumbags than the gop but come on, you're telling me that a shirtless Asian Dr Kimble pulling an Ozzy Osbourne on the Amtrak doesn't make for a way better news story than a fat guy in a fedora smoking peace pipes in a wigwam?

If this guy was a Republican just imagine all the clever witticisms that Keith "The Worst Wannabe Murrow Fake Newscaster IN THE WORLD" Olbermann would come up with?

But sadly (for the truth) he was a DNC donor so we wont really hear all that much about it.

I will say this though, whats it say about the dems when one of their biggest supporters declares himself mentally unfit?

Hell, The Aurora have been saying that about libs for years.

Speaking of wigwams, yeah that's right speaking of wigwams......

An Injun walks into a shrink's office
He says "Doc, Im having these recurring nightmares.
One night I'm a teepee, the next night a wigwam
Then a teepee
Back to wigwam
Teepee
Wigwam
TEEPEE
WIGWAM
TEEPEE!!!!
WIGWAM!!!

Doc, whats the matter with me????

Doc says “Relax, you’re two tents!!!"

Dems Win If America Loses

LISTEN TO THE GENERAL
IRAQ IS MORE THAN POLITICS

Ralph Peters

September 10, 2007 -- ONE of the many disgraceful things about Washington is that it really doesn't matter what Gen. David Petraeus says in his testimony this week.

Minds are already made up. Senators and activists will listen only for a "Gotcha!" opportunity. Staffers have already formulated the sound bites and written the statements denouncing any progress in Iraq as meaningless.

Politically terrified by positive developments in Iraq, Democrats are trying to explain them away preemptively. Premature Iraqulator Sen. Charles Schumer even resorted to outright lies last week.

We've reached a grotesque low point when scoring political points means more to our legislators than winning a war.

Well Which Is It?

Were you lying for political reasons when you said this?

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS: “One senator said U.S. troops are routing out al-Qaida in parts of Iraq. Another insisted President Bush’s plan to increase troops has caused tactical momentum. One even went so far on Wednesday as to say the argument could be made that U.S. troops are winning. These Are Not Bush-Backing GOP Die-Hards, But Democratic Sens. Dick Durbin, Bob Casey And Jack Reed. Even Sen. Carl Levin, Chairman Of The Senate Armed Services Committee, Said Progress Was Being Made By Soldiers.” (Kimberly Hefling, “Democrats Praise Military Progress,” The Associated Press, 08/08/07)

SEN. HILLARY CLINTON (D-NY): “We’ve Begun To Change Tactics Iraq, And In Some Areas, Particularly In Al Anbar Province, It’s Working.” (Sen. Hillary Clinton, Remarks At The Veterans Of Foreign Wars Convention, Kansas City, MO, 08/20/07)

SEN. CARL LEVIN (D-MI):“…The Military Aspects Of President Bush’s New Strategy In Iraq, As Articulated By Him On January 10, 2007, Appear To Have Produced Some Credible And Positive Results. (Sen. Levin And Sen. Warner, “Sens. Warner, Levin Issue Statement On Their Trip To Iraq, Jordan,” Press Release, 08/20/07)

Or are you betraying your country and lying for personal political reasons now?

By S.A. Miller - Congressional Democrats are trying to undermine U.S. Army Gen. David H. Petraeus' credibility before he delivers a report on the Iraq war next week, saying the general is a mouthpiece for President Bush and his findings can't be trusted."The Bush report?" Senate Majority Whip Richard J. Durbin said when asked about the upcoming report from Gen. Petraeus, U.S. commander in Iraq."We know what is going to be in it. It's clear. I think the president's trip over to Iraq makes it very obvious," the Illinois Democrat said. "I expect the Bush report to say, 'The surge is working. Let's have more of the same.' " Continued

In Case You Missed It

We are winning the war against terrorism, as yet another attack has been thwarted. However just as the Fenian bomber warned Thatcher after a near miss assassination attempt.... "remember, we only have to be lucky once" we too must remain as vigilant in our defense against those that have declared jihad upon us.

... and here's a thought.

We are killing more of them then they us, we are stopping more attacks than succeed, we have them running from cave to cave cross-dressing in burkas and resorting to using women children and radio controlled devices to fight us... so in other words, one could say that they are stuck in the muck of a quagmire, if you will.

Where is their cut-n-run crowd? Where is the call for appeasement and surrender from their anti-war contingent? The marches on Mecca? Where are the front page headlines on al-jazeera declaring the jihad un-winnable as they trumpet in bold letters the historic 20,000th dead terrorist?

More pertinent to the discussion....

Why is it just our side that is rife with pusillanimous peaceniks aka pussies???

Why Yes, Yes It Is

I Am Jack's Underreported Evil Twin

If this isn't the biggest news story on every network paper and blog until this criminal is apprehended and then even more so until Alice discovers just how deep the rabbit hole goes, well then it don't take Abramoff's haberdasher to tell you something just don't fit here......

HSU, WHERE ARE YOU?: DEMOCRATS' FUNDRAISER MISSES COURT DATE...

Stupid Liberal Tricks

A woman that I am acquainted with recently requested that I procure some ducats for the Letterman Show. Her sense was that as a lifelong New Yorker it was something she might as well get around to, along with walking to the top of the Statue of Liberty and spitting off of the Empire State Building.

If we have learned anything on The Aurora its that chicks dig me, well besides that liberals are bigots that hate gays, blacks, women, and children; man made global warming is a scaremongering fraudulent money grab; and that the democrat party is comprised of America-hating traitors that is.

The fact that chicks dig me is indisputable but the reasoning may be up for debate. Is it because I am handsome and charming or because I deliver the goods? Regardless I suppose that's an area of discussion for another day.

So back to the original plot line and needless to say I made my way to the Ed Sullivan Theater to score some Late Show tickets. To be honest I was a little surprised by the third degree interrogation, besides the usual name rank and contact number, they started asking me what my favorite characters skits and what have you were.

Maybe its because I was at this point irritated by the twentysomething with a clipboard putting me on the griddle or maybe because I was more ornery than usual that day or maybe I just told the truth as I answered that I am old school and used to watch Letterman when he wore wrestling boots and was funny, and now? not so much.

I didn't get the tickets.

Well, if I had it to do all over again my answer would be completely different. I was watching last night and they had one of the funniest skits Ive seen since Chris Elliot's "The Guy Under The Stairs". If I'm not mistaken I believe the character's name was Bill Clinton or something along those lines.

His best joke was when criticizing The Bush War (because let's be honest it has nothing to do with Iraq from the opposition's standpoint) he made the comment that we should not get involved in "civil wars" or "sectarian struggles". Ha ha very funny Dr Jones.

Oh yeah, you don't say......

"My fellow Americans, today our Armed Forces joined our NATO allies in air strikes against Serbian forces responsible for the brutality in Kosovo. We have acted with resolve for several reasons. We act to protect thousands of innocent people in Kosovo from a mounting military offensive. We act to prevent a wider war; to diffuse a powder keg at the heart of Europe that has exploded twice before in this century with catastrophic results. And we act to stand united with our allies for peace. By acting now we are upholding our values, protecting our interests and advancing the cause of peace. " -- Bill Clinton

But you didn't get Congressional approval, so isn't that an "illegal" war? How do you justify said action?

"Ending this tragedy is a moral imperative. It is also important to America's national interest. Take a look at this map. Kosovo is a small place, but it sits on a major fault line between Europe, Asia and the Middle East, at the meeting place of Islam and both the Western and Orthodox branches of Christianity. To the south are our allies, Greece and Turkey; to the north, our new democratic allies in Central Europe. And all around Kosovo there are other small countries, struggling with their own economic and political challenges -- countries that could be overwhelmed by a large, new wave of refugees from Kosovo. All the ingredients for a major war are there: ancient grievances, struggling democracies, and in the center of it all a dictator in Serbia who has done nothing since the Cold War ended but start new wars and pour gasoline on the flames of ethnic and religious division." -- Bill Clinton

Wow that sounds pretty convincing, but America has shown it doesn't have the stomach for a long drawn out war..... why should we stay?

"Right now our firmness is the only hope the people of Kosovo have to be able to live in their own country without having to fear for their own lives. Remember: We asked them to accept peace, and they did. We asked them to promise to lay down their arms, and they agreed. We pledged that we, the United States and the other 18 nations of NATO, would stick by them if they did the right thing. We cannot let them down now.
Imagine what would happen if we and our allies instead decided just to look the other way, as these people were massacred on NATO's doorstep. That would discredit NATO, the cornerstone on which our security has rested for 50 years now." -- Bill Clinton

Well said, I am sold. America must remain vigilant and resolute as a beacon of freedom. Now just replace Kosovo with Iraq because after all whats good for the Serb is good for the Sunni.

In closing I would like to add.....

What's the feckin' matter with these people (dems)? Is it that they really are this stupid and think that people don't remember their own words and actions? Or is that they know their constituents are such blind partisans that they don't care and that a complicit media wont remind everyone else?

Its a sad state for the dem party when Hillary leads the polls and even her supporters that I talk to have no clue where she stands.... on anything.

... I ended up getting tickets and Letterman still aint funny.

Little Round Top Was A Quagmire

The Gettysburg of This War
This Bush visit could well mark a key turning point in the war in Iraq and the war on terror.

By Frederick W. Kagan

""President Bush’s Labor Day visit to Iraq should have surprised no one who was paying attention. At such a critical point in the debate over Iraq policy, it was almost inconceivable that he would fly to and from Australia without stopping in Iraq. What was surprising was the precise location and nature of the visit. Instead of flying into Baghdad and surrounding himself with his generals and the Iraqi government, Bush flew to al Asad airfield, west of Ramadi, the capital of Anbar Province. He brought with him his secretaries of State and Defense, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and the commander of U.S. Central Command. He was met at al Asad by General David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker, as well as Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri Kemal al Maliki, Iraqi President Jalal Talabani, and Vice Presidents Adel Abdul Mehdi and Tariq al Hashemi. In other words, Bush called together all of the leading political and military figures in his administration and the Iraqi government in the heart of Anbar Province. If ever there was a sign that we have turned a corner in the fight against both al Qaeda in Iraq and the Sunni insurgency, this was it. ""
