I dont recall Hamilton ever giving away 3 Speed Blenders, Spa Weekends, or Toyota Prious' ... do you huh do you?
Using traditional ideological models if you were to personify The Communist Manifesto you would have Oprah Winfrey.... think about it.
However whats even scarier is that she has become a dogma in and of of herself with schools (aka fembot ninja training grounds) and a media empire backed by an army of angry and jaded man-hating women.... be afraid, maybe not today, but be afraid (8 years perhaps?) very afraid.
actually, oprah's primary demographic is white women in their 50's and 60's who haven't gone to college; which, while neither (generally speaking) "jaded" nor "manhating" are certainly a powerful group in terms of numbers and spending power.
i personally think people are smart enough (even oprah's demographic) to make up their own minds about obama and that they will, ultimately, see him for the fake that he is.
i'm surprised oprah hasn't.
i like what shelby steele has said and written about him.
(ps ... thanks for defending me in the previous post, o.donkey. that was quite nice of you.)
I'm not liking any of the major candidates too much but i'm leaning more towards Romney lately. Not because i really like him a lot, but because i like him a little bit less than Rudy lately.
he said (if my memory is serving me today ... which is questionable) that he didn't know about osama bin laden until AFTER 9/11. is he a major f-ing liar or what? how can he get away with saying that? particularly since bin laden was implicated in the 93 bombings AND when the actual head of security / facilities for the WTC at the time, John O'Neill, was a former FBI agent who was deeply involved in tracking bin laden down after the cole. rudy wasn't aware of that?
This whole fucking fiasco is making me sick. If any of the top tier candidates win America will lose, simple as that. Even more depressing is the fact that without question if this was Buchanan's first, or maybe even second run hed be elected in a landslide (or at least a Clintonian plurality)
you know, i seriously wonder if pat buchanan ever really wanted to "BE" president. i think his run (despite his obvious upsets) was mostly about bringing new voices to the stage rather than actually winning any one electoral vote (in the same fashion as ron paul or dennis kucinich, neither of whom will win anything but who will, and MUST, keep the candidates focused on issues above and beyond the corporate masters of the "top tier").
which is why i think fringe candidates MUST be included in the debates until the very end of the primaries.

Oprah knows everything she needs to know about obama. He's black, and...... well..... He's black.
That's why she's backing him. If it wasn't him it would be hillary because she's a woman, and..... well she's a woman.
i would tend to agree with you on that rhino.
a case of race trumping gender?
i think ... the ability to do the job would trump everything.
but that's not the world we live in.
unfortunately.
extremely unfortunately.
True, True.

i mean a little bit MORE than Rudy lately.
Of course it's still early.
did you see rudy on meet the press this sunday?

he's so thoroughly pitiful.
