Here at The Aurora we don't shout down the opposition, we don't throw pies at the guest speaker, and unlike the hit maker Barry Manilow we don't boycott those we disagree with.
In a world where the tragedy that is Iraq is usually discussed only in media sound bites and political slogans, it is especially gratifying to see an adult, intelligent, and insightful account of life inside Iraq by someone who lived there for nine months in the early days of the occupation in 2003 and 2004, and who saw the fundamental mistakes that would later plague the attempt to create a viable Iraqi government.

either you are joking or are seriously delusional.
How do you figure? We allow everyone to voice their opinions here. We may beat you down afterwards, but you get to say your piece. Unlike the demonstrators on the left who literally keep shouting until the conservative speaker has to leave, or the KOS bloggers who automatically block anyone with a dissenting opinion.

Very true. It's not our fault that some are intimidated by the weapons that we wield, namely... facts, the truth, common sense etc.
We have never censored anyone in fact we have made a point to let the yo momma slurs from dozens yr old knuckleheads, porn spam, and even Anita's egregious package pic stand(we had to draw the line at cat blogging) unlike how the Kos deleted our accounts in my case for such trolling comments like questioning the relationship between Al Gore and China inasfar as his being named to Google's board of directors (and paid potentially billions)just a few short months before China (and after years of refusal) allowed the search engine into its border under strict fascist guidelines squashing dissident opinion...oh snap flame war!
...or how the few lib sites that we would visit would always turn into a debate as to how to silence us as opposed to how to prove us wrong.
In other words, we are pretty fucking awesome and the rest of the blogospere can suck it.
