In Southeast Mass I used to skate every winter from mid December to the end of March. It was the 1970s. Nowadays there is ice for a couple of weeks only.
Global warming has got to produce some kind of percentage decline in American hockey, I am sure. As far as Mass is concerned, 128 and 495 are a lot colder than down here, 5 or 10 degrees all winter.
Free ice time is the key to competetive hockey. If football players had to pay to use a "Football rink", there would be a difference in how that game is played.
I wouldnt go so far as to call it a plot but rather a mass hysteria movement that if not created by then at the very least being capitalized on by the neo-agrarian socialists as a means to redistribute wealth from the producers of the world to the takers.
Does it not strike you as scientifically disingenuous that any explanations cited for the current warming cycle which can not be taxed or legislated have been dismissed out of hand by the scaremongers?
Once again to reiterate the math, its illogical to think that even a massive ten fold, screw it a hundred fold spike in an element that comprises but only .04% of the enivornment has a 100% impact on any fluctuations of atmospheric temperature.
....but you cant tax cow farts
....and you you cant legislate solar flares
....or pass a bill restricting supervolcanic activity
....historic warming/cooling trends dont scare people into buying $100 Save the Earth concert tickets.

There is a movement to redistribute wealth but it is a movement to redistribute it upwards.
