Gore's Faith Is Bad Science

"Al Gore likes to present himself as a tribune of science, warning the world of imminent danger. But he is more like an Old Testament prophet, calling on us to bewail our wrongful conduct and to go and sin no more.
He starts off with the science. The world's climate, he reports, is getting warmer. This accurate report is, however, not set in historic context. World climate has grown warmer and cooler at various times in history. Climate change is not some unique historic event. It is the way the world works."

It's not strictly a matter of the world getting warmer, of natural cyclical changes in the atmosphere over centuries. The issue, which you 'anti-global-warmingists' deny, is the rate at which the earth's temperature has changed since the industrial revolution. Previous major warming/cooling periods (like the most recent ice age) took place over hundreds of millenia, not less than one. THAT is the alarming part. THAT is what cannot be denied.
Industry is trying to change the subject. It's in their best interests so why shouldn't they, right? However, I think we're smart enough now to know that what's good for GM is not always good for America.
If anyone has drunk the Kool Aid, it's you guys.
Anita if you are going to address us in "quotations" at leasst have the decency to be truthful. Once again, nobody denies that the "globe" is "warming"
We question man's impact and the eco-socialism policies of the left.
what is 'truth' ? do you know the truth ? i don't claim to. i am just stating the obvious. which may be truth or may not be truth. but you cannot deny the obviousness of it.
