Any Way The Wind Blows

It seems that quagmire has lost its charm (its nice to see libs getting new material) and has been replaced by the excellent track 1 from Use Your Illusion II. Prior to the start of the Iraqi War, The Rhino and I oft argued about the potential for civil war and if I dont mind saying so myself I cant recall too many people besides myself (please allow myself to introduce ...my...self) that were even mentioning the possibility back then. The left just aint smart enough and those on the right were in denial. Self fellating kudos aside, just as I believed then the inevitability for sectarian violence was a reason to avoid entering Iraq I feel just as strongly now that it should not be a reason for our retreat. In fact its even more reason to stay and put our boot print on Iraq. Better ours than Irans. Trust me on that one.

It is yet another catchphrase used by people with little understanding of its meaning and consequences in its current context to further their agenda of attacking our President. Am I being partisan here by my blanket assertation? Youre god damn right I am...becasue* Im right. How else can you explain the democrat's support of our involvement in the Balkans under Clinton. They cried then that we must stop the civil war, we must stop the sectarian strife, we must stop the genocide just as they are now rallying for our involvement in the Sudan, yet the Iraqis whether they be sunni or shia and Kurds deserve to suffer in their eyes.

I opposed the bombing of Kosovo, not becasue as the left accused the right of blaming Clinton for wagging the dog but because we were backing the wrong side. That being said some on the right did in fact trivialize Clintons mistake in Kosovo by lewinskying the issue. I hope my President is getting his nob polished in the Oval Office... I sure as hell would, but I do not expect him to support the alqaeda backed KLA after they had declared war on us and had already struck at a number of our interests. Its historically incorrect hypocrisy at best and worse case its the blatant sabotaging of a sitting President at a time of war.

Speaking of hypocrisy....

Another new "plan" from those on the left (to be fair TAC is as well...youre beginning to piss me off PJB) is the call to open directs talks with Syria and Iran. The same Syria and Iran bending over backwards to break the camels democratic back in Lebanon. The same Iran that has called for the destruction of our ally Israel. The same Iran that has been at war with The United States of America for decades. Yeah thats a great plan. Theyll be a huge help.

But heres what pisses me off and makes me believe the left do not believe a single fuckin word coming out of their moufs. Regarding N Korea they say we should talk to Kim alone, regarding Iraq and Iran we should talk to everybody that'll listen. In simpler terms...do the the exact opposite of what Bush is doing. That certainly was the DNC platform for the midterm elections. Vote for dems because Bush sucks.

They are full of shit, and it'll become even more apparent when Bush leaves office as their ideology will have ceased to exist. What will they do when they dont have ol' George to kick around anymore. They are the hate Bush party, nothing more.

Officer Steve Favela, Honolulu PD died today from injuries he sustained in a motorcyle crash riding in Bush's posse. I dont know the man, but he rode. He left behind a family. Lets keep them in our thoughts.

This tragedy brings up something that Anita recently mentioned in the forums. Its very important to give blood. Officer Favela was O+ and could only take O+- blood, they just didnt have it in Honolulu and needed a blood drive for him as well as the other officers injured. Its a painless thing to do and you get free snacks...my place even allows me to bring a VHS tape. Every healthy person should do it. Every healthy person should do it often.

Whats The Deal With The N Word

Im not going to defend Michael Richards behavior as its apparent the dude is off his frickin johnrocker and indefensible. But Ive been to many a comedy club and have heard worse. Much worse.

Regarding hot button words like nigger, Ive always thought that the intent is more important than the word. Take my moniker...Donkey for instance, years back it started as an insult the wops on the docks would call me (and all Irish). Personally I prefer my old nickname of Conan (which Yellow the Asian stills calls me to this day) better. It was an insult that warranted fisticuffs back then and some choice i-tie slurs hurled back at em, but now its what my closest friends call me, so Donkey is what Im stuck with.

In this instance Kramer's anger betrayed him. The dude was pretty frickin irate so its hard for me to think otherwise than those were the words of a hateful and mean-spirited individual, and in that case he deserves the full public condemnation that he was quick to receive. It just wasnt funny.

Its not one of my favorite words but I have used it. I have used it as a term of endearment in jokes and in fights. Does that make me a racist? Apparently it does. The only problem is that besides the limeys and canucks I dont have one iota of a problem with any other people walking God's green earth, and Ive even been slowly softening up to the both of them as I grow older and {cough} more mature. Am I going to seek pyschiatric help or enter rehab? No. Well maybe, but for other reasons, not because of gibsonesque of kramerish words that I may have used. I know whats in my heart.

See my hatred for the English stems from the fact they oppressed my people and the stories my mother would tell me about her childhood in Northern Ireland. The problem is that most of that happened a long long time ago. The average bloke or bird I meet in a pub had as much to do with the potato famine or Cromwell's reign of terror as I do with the disgrace of slavery in this country. Sometimes its best to let things go. Im not saying we should forget, but I think it best we forgive.

As far as Canada is concerned, well I would kindly ask all these liberals that complain about Big Oil and cry for the need for a socialized health care system to move to a border town as I once did. My guess would be that even the patchouliest of peaceniks would be ready to strangle a Canadian after constantly finding themselves behind a line of Ontario plates at the gas station or mooselovers at the hospital as I did. But still, how long can I be pissed off about something that happened years ago now that I no longer live upstate. Not to mention all the good they have contributed to American culture...Pam Anderson, John Candy, Mike Myers, Labatts, and hockey to name just a few. Maybe its time I let it go.

Back to Richards....

Im still a little groggy after my trip down tryptophan lane, so Im not going to get into the whole hypocrisy of how every black comedian has at one time mocked white people. Ok we get it, we cant dance and we talk like Byrant Gumbel. Cracka ass crackas.

His actions kind of fucked it up for now, but the entire black/white dynamics need to start being discussed in a more reasonable and rational manner. Its not as clear cut as some would make it out to be. Just as all black folk dont wanna kill whitey...not all whitey are responsible for slavery. It sure doesnt help the situation, but one washed up actor calling a couple of obnoxious black guys niggers is the exception not the rule. Hyphens aside, we are all Americans....Cant we all just get along.

Besides the obvious, the problem I have with the Kramer situation is two-fold.

Number one, what the hell is Jesse Jackson doing getting involved. Any good works he may have done with Dr King back in the day have been negated by his decades of racist anti-semitic criminal behavior. The guy is a fraud. Taking a wild guess Id say Richards had to put some gold in the pot at the end of JJ's rainbow so that Jackson would forgive him on his radio show.

Which brings me to number two. These guys that Richards verbally accosted (after they told him he sucked and wasnt funny) are planning to sue. For what? Emotional damage? Grow the fuck up. Youre entitled to a refund of what you spent at the club and THATS IT. Everybody wants better yet feel they deserve their fifteen minutes and easy money. We are becoming a country of pussies. I can guarantee that I suffered more "emotional damage" at the Borat movie seeing a mans sack on another mans face. It hurts to even type. If they were so hurt they wouldnt have had the strength to do interviews for every frickin morning show. They see an opportunity for some ill gotten fame and easy cash. Richards was wrong to say what he said, not because of the word he used but the anger he had when using it...but they were as wrong for instigating him and now trying to capitalize on it. Doesnt mean Kramer shouldve reacted as he did. He was wrong and obviously a bigot...plain and simple, but as the saying goes...

Dont start nothing. Wont be nothing.

IT'S GETTING DRAFTY IN HERE!

Less than two weeks after the Democrats won both houses of Congress,Rep. Charles Rangel (D-NY) went on a Sunday talk show to push for a military draft. What's going on here? One of two things-- First, he knows that a draft--even as just one option in compulsory national service--would never be approved. So this move is not a serious effort to strengthen the U.S. military but merely another attack on Bush--a cynical ploy to frighten Americans and erode support for the war. The commanders I have interviewed bristle at the idea of messing with the all-volunteer force. Leading reluctant soldiers into battle is the last thing they need.

And let's not forget, Rangel is using the tired old left-wing tactic of class warfare, based on the faulty premise that the military is only comprised of poor people who have no other options. But this is nonsense. As we saw with the blowback from Sen. Kerry's "botchedjoke"--our military is diverse, professional, and better educated than the civilian population!

But there is always the possibility that Rangel could be totally serious. And heck, in theory, the idea of national service seems attractive--a great way to encourage patriotism, sacrifice and an appreciation of our military. But in practice, any compulsory service program would become one more bloated, unrestrained government bureaucracy.

Rangel's plan would require you either to join the military or go to work for some "government-approved" organization. Oh, like what? The separation-of-church-and-state-mafia would never stand for church work as "national service." The PC police would wail if anyone suggested that the Boy Scouts get government service approval. However, I am guessing that in Rangel's perfect world, joining an anti-global warming coalition, Planned Parenthood, or moveon.org would be ideal ways to fulfill a "national service" requirement. Plus, let's not forget that our most recent experience with a draft (which ended in 1973) failed to foster a greater affection and respect for our armed forces among members of the '60s generation.

This draft or national service talk is probably a lot of hot air, andeven the Democratic leadership is shooting down the Rangel proposal.They know that pushing this would create a huge backlash from moderates,libertarians, and many conservatives who want less government intrusioninto their lives, not more. And it probably wouldn't be too popular withmost Democratic voters either.

Let's remember--we don't serve the government. The government is supposed to serve us.

Ok how the hell could the Donkey have a problem with this, you are probably asking yourself. Well I'll tell you...

This is exactly the naiveté that’s indicative of the liberal mindset. They want world orgasm but don’t care to discuss the dirty (yeah I said dirty, Ill get back to that in a moment) details to achieve it.

The assertion that those who support this war effort do not want peace, are warmongers, and are not “lovers” is flat out wrong and unfair. There is a reality they don’t grasp and that is sometimes you can only achieve “peace through strength” as President Ronald W. Reagan was oft known to say.

I’m pretty far right as are most of the people I associate with, and I think its safe to say that if we all had our druthers…our troops would be home, there would be no more war, and our country would no longer be at risk of further terrorist threats. Unfortunately that’s just not the way it is. Whoever you want to blame, the reality is that this war was started by alqaeda and our involvement in Iraq is directly tied to Saddam’s chest puffing fist pumping defiance of UN resolutions. He dictated our actions, ours did not his.

As I’ve said before if he was bluffing, it was a horrible bluff. We had quad cowboys and he was holding aces over eights and now he’s going to hang by the gallows as a result.

Have mistakes been made? Of course there have, only a fool (read: politician) would say otherwise, but such is the nature of war.

Everybody (even Bush) wants peace, but only the realist understands that it doesn’t always come easy. Once again as President Ronald W. Reagan said in his Freedom Through Sacrifice speech…

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”

How does this apply to the lovers in San Fran? Well I’ll tell you…

Sometimes the best and most satisfying way to achieve world “peace” is not through the lit candles kumbaya Sade mood music in the background type of peacemaking but rather the Bel Biv Devoe old school style of “smack it up, flip it, rub it down”. I’m talking about grabbing your "adversary's" hair slamming them against the wall breaking furniture waking up the neighbors and “peaceing’ the living shit out of each other. Achieving peace is sometimes a sweaty dirty messy and violent business.

What we are proposing here at the Aurora is that we all participate in conjuction with the 'Global Orgasm For Peace' movement, but we do it our way in support of the troops....and the ultimate goal of VICTORY! So throw back a couple shots of whiskey, crank up some Black Flag (or any speed metal will do) and go to "war" with the "enemy" of your choosing. For "peace", of course...through strength. In leather?

Hooray For Boobies

A few months back I got a call from a client with a stock recommendation. Normally whenever I hear about a "hot tip" I almost always ignore it, (esp. if its from a friend of Rhinos) So as he attempted to give me the details I countered with the blow-off asked for the symbol and said I'd look it up and get back to him. R A C K. Im sold. Didnt matter what they did or who they were, I was buying it no matter what.

Strictly so I would have another excuse to call out nice rack whenever a woman walks by at the office, but more importantly a legal defense in the unlikely event of a lawsuit. The only problem is that Im friendly with all the women at my office, and most consider my lechery a part of my roguish charm. My verbal accostings are usually just met with a simple "thanks Donk". So the nuance of my grand scheme is usually lost.

The stock has done ok, but the joke got old quick...who am I kidding, shit like that never gets old........ NICE RACK.

Speaking of racks at the office, I have to mention the Dream Team that Warlike Rhino and myself had working for us back in the day. Back in the day. There was this girl around the way. They were like a benetton commericial, but with hot strippers.

Nobody Likes A 'Nam Dropper

Lets call it like it is. Iraq is a shitstorm. I have my thoughts on the matter . The blitzkrieg assault on Baghdad was a mistake for example. But come on...what the fuck do I know. About as much as every other knucklehead giving their opinion on this war, which means not very much. Well thats not exactly true I do in fact know more than most knuckleheads, but you get my point. I know this much, we need to win. Withdrawing will not make us safer. Redeploying will not make us safer. Cut and running will not make us safer. Winning and winning alone will.

When our military has been able to conduct the war effort....we have won every single conflict weve ever fought. Politicians lose wars. Political media driven movements lose wars. Pussies lose wars. Our military dont and they havent and they wont.

So if the liberal wing of the democrat party would stop tying our military's hands behind their backs, that'd be great.

We are at war make no mistake about it and contrary to what the liberals would have you believe it didnt start and wont end with Iraq. Im afraid its too late for liberals to understand this as the word Iraq is already ingrained in their membranes (insane in the brains) like cattle being branded with the marks of halliburton and quagmire and oil and nazi and fascist and McCarthyism and Vietnam. Theirs is an ideology of catchphrases, nothing more.

Their thought process is that since the war in Iraq isnt going swimmingly, we should just leave and then there will be no more war. They dont get it. Iraq is to Vietnam as Vietnam is to quagmire as Cain is to Carlos. All wars are bad, but some wars are necessary. I'd have to go back to the Revolutionary War to think of a war where the safety and freedoms of American citizens were in as much risk as they are now. This is NOTHING like Vietnam. Let it go hippies, Im sure Woodstock was great, but you have to let it go. Once we left, the Vietnamese posed no threat to attack the United States of America...such is not the case in the current War on Terror.

I could sit here and type example after example of the Iraqi War in comparison to damn near every war we have ever fought. Why the fuck is it that you only hear about comparisons to Vietnam? How about how Gen. George Washington lost Brooklyn, lost Manhattan, lost New Jersey to the redcoats. That sure as hell was a quagmire and all low points in American military history for sure, but in case you dont remember that one, we came back and kicked some ass and thats why you dont pay six bucks for a rather right honorable very grand earl grey at Starbucks. In the War of 1812 our enemies burnt down the White House and set fire to Buffalo. We won that one too, by the way. I can go on and on up and until today. Weve fought and won other battles since Vietnam. Weve done some good things, freed alot of people. But its always Vietnam. Always.

Why no comparison to Kosovo and how we backed the Muslim extremist KLA?

Is it because Vietnam is a war that the media perceives that we lost or is it because its a war where they correctly understand that they had a hand in dictating policy, sabotaged the war effort and have ever since incorrectly labeled as Nixon's war...and are now trying to do it again just for old times sake to recapture the glory disco days of the 70's. Either way its shameful. The only excuse is that they want us to lose, and that makes them traitors.

Liberals are wrong, dangerously wrong. Bush didnt start this war, he just decided to fight back. As Ive said many times before when Im in a barfight I want the guy swinging barstools on my side, not the liberal hippie beatnik chatting up the french chick in the corner. If they want to oppose the war fine, they are free to do so. They can even criticize how the war effort is being fought, as there are many questions that need to be asked. But the plan should not be when we will surrender, or withdraw or redeploy or whatever the fuck these people want to call it..the plan should be how do we win.

By all accounts Mars is experiencing their own "global warming" as indicated by the melting of their ice caps. Could it be that algore has no love for our interplanetary brothers and sisters, or is it that proof of a temperature change on Mars would refute his ascertation that man and his damn dirty SUV's and factories are alone to blame for any perceived threat of "global warming" on planet Earth.

Nancy Pelosi Hates Unions

Nancy Pelosi is a union buster. She understands unions for not. The democrat party hates union workers. I know unions, I worked in unions and democrat party you are no friend of unions.

Its the seniority stupid.

To illustrate this story Im going to reveal more about myself than I care to but it is pertinent to the story.

I am white collar. The double windsor the stripes and the tips...all of it. Sometimes Ive even been known to rock the pocket square. I am the prototypical caucasian christian ivy educated male. That aint me babe. That aint me.

I grew up in a household with pictures of Jesus Christ and Martin Luther King. I never understood either, but seeing that my mother did, for lack of a better term I humored them both. I never liked em. I dont believe in holy men and I dont believe in philosophers but more importantly I dont believe in martyrs or victims, and from what I understand of them both neither did they but that is what they preached.

When my mother died, I became what some would call a criminal and theyd be right. This may sound trivial as it is as there are worse scenarios then mine, but I needed to juggle putting food on the table paying the rent and making lacrosse practice after student council meetings. I tried to be a high school student. I had no choice but become a man.

Long story long I get busted on a b and e. Matriculation aint gonna happen. In fairness the Quakers of UP stood by me and kept their free ride on the table. Matriculation werent gonna happen.

Time served.

I became a butcher. I became a brickie. I became a painter. I became a bartender. I became a Teamster.

I made assistant shop steward within two years and foreman within four. Now mind you I was 25 at the time and had no business being either. But I was corrupt. As crooked as you can come. I took the gym bags of money that 560 offered me to pump up overtime and I took the brown bags from corporate to keep overtime down. Everybody won. It was what it was.

I became powerful.

Power is fleeting.

I rolled my sleeves up in 92 and it cost me. My men were told to vote for Clinton. We were ordered to vote for Clinton. I fought against him. I fought against every fuckin wop and chop that would try and hit me, but not the mops as I had an army of brothers behind me led by the infamous JD. I argued that our vote united should be pro-union and free trade but favorable to America first. I was of the mind then as I am now that if we can keep it fair, as we have done before that America will flourish and share with the world what we can, as we always have before. Tables were thrown bats were wielded knifes and guns in every other mans hand. Blood was shed. For democracy?

Now Im no populist, never been, and Im no whatever label you want to put on me, but I supported Buchanan then as much as I do now and I had an entire army that voted with me. We wanted to keep our jobs, keep making money and keep America strong. Bush I failed us and Buchanan or Perot never had a chance. I was asked very nicely to resign.

The reason I bring this up is... what up with the union loving dems? Seniority matters. Pelosi looks to blow by two senior congressmen, Hoyer and Harmon to put her cronies in. I can argue against the both, but fair is fair...and Hastings and Murtha are a disgrace. It is corrupt cronyism at its worst and it hasnt even been a month. As Rhino said prior...who the fuck elects these people.

Are these really the best 500 our country has to offer?

Cant Clean House With A Dirty Mop

As I delve deeper to discover the definition of the "referendum" of last tuesdays election one subject keeps coming up....corruption. We have long been advocates of imposing term limits on Congress as its not a matter of if but when the majority of politicians become greedy self serving pigs.

The GOP deserved to be punished for becoming the very scum that they booted from office in the 90's with a "referendum" to clean up dirty DC politics. Abramoff's fedora cast a shady shade over the Republicans (as well the current senate majority leader as well as other dems) and coupled with other problems was too much to overcome, and probably deserving so.

So we welcome Nancy Pelosi's pledge "to turn this Congress into the most honest and open Congress in history," and wash away the filth of k street....

But hold on just a god damn minute, whats this I hear...Alcee "impeached for bribery and perjury" Hastings, John "abscam" Murtha, and Barney "gay prostitution ring" Frank are being endorsed by Pelosi for key Congessional leaderships posititions. Besides Frank I dont expect either Murtha or Hastings to actually elevate to those positions as the blue dogs are barking loudly, but thats not the point. That their names even came up is indictative of the joke that the extreme left of the democrat party has become.

To all those conservatives that voted dem or stayed home to "send a message" I hope you are frickin happy with yourselves. You made your point, good job jackasses....now America suffers for the next two long and ugly years to endure your "lesson". Didnt you, ok we learn anything from Perot?

Im not exactly pro-death penalty, but with the advance in technology I might be able to be swayed. Thats not the issue here though, but yet that our favorite commies in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals have been overturned once again.

Back To The Courts Again, The Courts Again

I posted a question in the message boards yesterday asking how exactly people were interpreting the "referendum" of this past election. Bush and the Iraqi War are obvious answers. But I want to get into the specifics, and considering we still dont really know where the dems stand on the latter we cant really get into that right now.

I will tell you one thing that the people spoke out against and that is gay marriage. In seven out of eight states the electorate resoundingly voted for a ban on gay marriage and only in Arizona where the amendment was tied to hetersexual cohabitation did it fail. It cant feel too good to be a homosexual in the democratic party right now considering the percentage points that these bans passed by. On average the best case scenario is that only 20% and the worst case over 40% of their fellow democrats do not believe in their right to marry. So much for it being a referendum on progressive liberal social activism, that much we do know.

Bizarro World

Let me start this post by saying I'm not a big gambler. I like to play craps, I play black jack from time to time and i've been known to show up at a "underground" card game from time to time. I actually really enjoy it and would probably do all of those things more if i was better at them, but i'm not. I'm not very lucky.
That being said, the one thing i'm good at when it comes to gambling is football. I used to bet on college football every week, and i would win regularly. When i say regularly, i mean i had years where i would be up thousands of dollars, and that's when i only bet 50-200 dollars per weekend. When i got into my current industry, i had less time to watch sports, so i stopped betting college and only did pro football. 2 years ago my bookie went out of business (got busted) and since then i've slowed down a lot on my gambling, but i still do the "sheets" at my job. Last year i won 3 times, and i was in contention probably for another 8-10 weeks. That might not seem like a lot, but realize that there's about 40 people doing this pool, and only one other person won more than once. (a girl who won twice and knows nothing about football). That being said, i called the donkey last week with astonishing news, and he was laughing at me when i told him. I had 1 win last week! Out of 15 or 16 games, i only picked 1 winner against the spread! More importantly, i won the "sheets" week 1, and i haven't even been close since. I said to the Donkey last week, "It's like bizarro sports world"

Priorities

Ok Im not going to get into the whole liberals hate America rhetoric this morning but contrary to how many times they say they "support the troops but oppose the war", the fact remains that since the end of the Cold War every Democratic administration or Dem controlled Congress has cut military spending.

I have sent out my exploratory committee and I have yet to discover the democratic plan for Iraq. Even more confusing, it now looks like Congresswoman Jane Harman (D-CA) the ranking democrat (and pretty smart broad) on the House Intelligence Committee is about to get the boot from Pelosi despite her expertise and seniority she will not be given a chair as a result of her compliance in President George W Bush's "illegal war".

They think its bad, that much I know, but so do people on my side. War sucks we all get it, but losing is worse. And unlike Vietnam which liberals love to compare, the Vietnamese did not declare war on us or ever attack us on our own soil. Al Qaeda did, and from their own accounts now number over 12,000 active in Iraq. Take out the word Iraq for a moment, will libs at least admit that a war is being waged upon us and that it must be dealt with and won?

Take for example the recent statement of Al-Muhajir, the leader of al-Qaida in Iraq

"We will not rest from our Jihad until we are under the olive trees of Rumieh and we have blown up the filthiest house _ which is called the White House,"

Pretty strong words and unlike John Kerry's statement it is not open for debate or interpretation. They mean to continue their jihad on America and target American citizens regardless of the status of the war in Iraq or who is in power in Washington.

...and what do the newly elected Democrats have to say about this. Well, not surprisingly they have been silent. The good news is that Pablo down at the local stop-n-shop is going to be getting a raise.

"George McGovern, the former senator and Democratic presidential candidate, said Thursday that he will meet with more than 60 members of Congress next week to recommend a strategy to remove U.S. troops from Iraq by June," the Associated Press reports from Lincoln, Neb.

Well, let's not make too much of this. It turns out that the group with which McGovern is meeting is "the Congressional Progressive Caucus, a 62-member group led by Reps. Lynn Woolsey and Barbara Lee." Rep. Lee was the only member of Congress to vote against authorizing military action against al Qaeda in 2001.

Still, 62 Democrats are enough to make up slightly over one-fourth of the new congressional majority, and it's mildly unsettling to consider that such a significant faction would agree with nonsense such as this:

McGovern told the audience Thursday that the Iraq and Vietnam wars were equally "foolish " and that the current threat of terrorism developed because--not before--the United States went into Iraq.

McGovern must have a really short memory. For his information, here's a timeline:

Dec. 29, 1992: Al Qaeda bombs a hotel in Aden, Yemen, and attempts to bomb a second one, unsuccessfully targeting U.S. Marines staying there.


Feb. 26, 1993: Al Qaeda bombs World Trade Center, killing six adults and an unborn child.


Feb. 22, 1998: Osama bin Laden issues a fatwa declaring war on the U.S.


Aug. 7, 1998: Al Qaeda bombs U.S. embassies in Kenya and Tanzania, killing more than 220.

Peace Of Shits

Well Ive long said that liberals hate our military almost as much as they despise reality. Im not even going to mention John Kerry as his anti-military bullshit bores me. Their mindset is not of normal people, by normal I mean sane. These are the people that wear hundred dollar leather birkenstocks but will begrudge me my weekly porterhouse at Gallaghers because meat is murder. The very same insane people that will march on Union Square protesting _________ of the day and cry about oil consumption yet leave behind a papertrail of Che and Mao litter. The same fuckin people that will tell you they support the troops but not the war as they call our soldiers baby killers, rapists and terrorists.

Which brings me to the knuckleheads Im about to address. They love the troops, they really really do, it is just Bush and Halliburton and Big Oil and Cheney and Republicans that they hate. You know them..the blood for oil crowd. They love the troops so much it doesnt even dawn on them the mockery they are making of our men and women past and present that defend their rights to be jackasses.

I became aware of this group The Kommandos Project by a vague comment left by one of their Komrades that I do not support the will of the people. Well if by will of the people means I think google bombing libelous and slanderous untruths throwing paint on women sabotaging SUV dealerships and comparing our soldiers to toys by leaving little green men* all over the place with anti-Republican messages is crap....THEN THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE BE DAMNED. kommandos are kommies

These are not pacifists these are not peaceful people. They are not anti-war. They are angry hate filled anarchists. They hate capitalism they hate democracy and most certainly they hate the greatest ideal of all, The United States of America.

There are many wars and injustices going on around the globe as I type and you read...where are all the banners for them. Case in point Darfur. They do not protest the genocide, but that the USA isnt helping enough, yet the Iraqis deserved to suffer? What about the solution to everything in the hippie world..the UN, what the F are they doing? The oppression of the people of Korea, it is all Bush's fault for not engaging Kim unilaterally just as it was Bush's fault for acting unilaterally to stop the butcher of Baghdad. You seeing a pattern. Facts or truths mean nothing to these people but how they can interpret them to blame America and quite frankly Im getting pretty pissed off about it.

In protest I am going to use my Consitutional Right (the living breathing type) to smack in the throat the next commie I see rallying outside my office with anything resembling Nazi propaganda (yeah you with the swastika Bush flag). For starters I will explain that they misinterpreted my meaning but more importantly I have an excellent attorney (eats pony-tailed ACLU types for breakfast) and we will settle it the hippie way...in the courts.

But I must implore that you do not do as I do, only as I say and kindly ask of you...

Whoever said that the pen is mightier than the sword was probably some pusillanimous beatnik hippie writer but maybe they had a point, maybe.

Just as I think that the Iraqi War can not be won through rebuilding and only through the use of the sword or in more modern terms...a fleet of AC series gunships reigning hell on any town where an IED detonates or an American soldier is killed can we achieve total victory.

I also feel that the war that is about to be waged at home MUST be won with the pen. You know, that writing instrument that President Bush has only used once.

Message to the Voters

There have been many times in my life where i found myself rooting for the "bad guy" in the movies. Gordon Gekko in Wall Street, Lex Luthor in the first Superman, and probably my favorite "bad guy" who i didn't think was bad at all, Col. Nathan R Jessup in A Few Good Men.
Last night, as i watched the election results rolling in i was reminded of a line from that movie that i always thought was the best line in the whole movie, and i think it's the perfect sentiment today.

Id imagine anyone that reads the Aurora has a good idea where my politics lean and could probably guess which way I vote. The funny thing is that in most elections they'd be wrong. Living in New York City for most of my adult life has allowed me to get a little creative with third party candidates. Ive never line voted in my life. Ive even been known to vote dem now and again, primarily as a result of personally knowing the candidate, in the hopes of getting out of parking tickets.

I make no bones about admitting that I voted straight GOP ticket today. Right dont the frickin line, even voted for that clown running for Congress that I posted a video of jumping on the table during the debate. Any other year, he doesnt even warrant my thought process.

Now some would say as a conservative in NYC, that my time and vote is wasted as all of my candidates will lose, well that is barring a Five Points style stuffing of the ballot for yer man there Callahan theyd probably be right. But I still say bullshit. So as I was standing in the booth looking at the choices of candidates I thought back to a scene in Good Will Hunting...

I was watching Olbermann tonight (what can I say the guy amuses me, hes a comedian right?) and he made a comment that got me thinking. He questioned the audacity of the Republicans to ask the dems what their plan was for Iraq. How dare the party in power ask the minority party for a plan he says. Well yeah jackass, thats the point. His thinking is indicative of the liberal mindset. Theirs is an ideology of blame, and blame alone. Thats all they got. If you want to make the Iraq War the end all be all dont you think its in the electorates best interest to know where you stand. I mean besides the usual "Bush is bad" and "Oil is bad" and "Halliburton is bad" jibber jabber.

So I got to thinking some more. Ive been watching these elections pretty closely and I have no idea where the dems stand on anything. I mean besides "Bush is bad" and "Foley is gay" and "Republicans want to kill Michael J Fox". Oh wait to be fair, Pelosi mentioned raising minimum wage and scoring herself a sweet suite. Thats its. No iniatives, no plans, no ideas...just blame.

Thats is why the 7th will be a disaster for the Democratic party. I am not as optimistic as the Rhino, but regardless I think it'll be a day of reckoning for the dems, a day of embarrassment. Anything short of a landslide will be catastrophic for them. Thanks to the media militant wing, the Presidents approval rating is in the mid thirties. Horrible. Horrible approval rating. Mid 30's and the dems will be fighting for their lives tomorrow. Fighting for their lives against a President with a low approval rating waging an unpopular war (thanks again to the militant media wing of the DNC).

Predonktion: Dems barely (low single digits) take the House, and thanks to Steele's shocking upset in Maryland the GOP will retain the Senate. In other words an utter and complete failure for the deaniac dems. Bush will not lose nearly as many seats as the commie hero FDR during WWII. Members of a white Senator's staff illegally obtain a black candidate's financial records to smear him (insinuation: Black men cant handle their money and will waste it on blunts and Nikes) Then during a debate, members of the white candidates campaign hand out oreo cookies, which somehow happen to end up (probably due to George W Bush's Katrina weather machine affecting the wind patterns in black neighborhoods) near the black candidates podium (insinuation: Blacks that dont toe the line are wiggers) A prominent member of the oppositition party refers to the black candidate as behaving "slavishly" (insinuation: House slave) Followed up by a prominent nationally published magazine referring to the black candidate as a "lawn jockey" (insinuation: Uncle Tom, Aunt Jemima, Little Black Sambo)

Wow playing make believe is fun, but lets rejoin the real word for a moment. See ya, see ya, Glad that you could stay a while, da dum, Glad that we could say "Good morning" to ya, Hope you'll have a shiny day.

Lets remove the insinuations or interpretations of the last paragraph. Here are the facts. Members of the Schumer (D-NY) led Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee were charged and found guilty of illegally obtaining Lt Gov Michael Steele's credit report . Oreo cookies were thrown at Steele during his run for Lt Gov, and since mocked about on his Senatorial opposition Ben Cardin's (D-MD)blog. Rep Steny Hoyer (D-MD) did for a fact refer to Steele as "slavishly supporting the Republican Party". For a fact this past October's issue of Esquire magazine refers to Lt Gov Michael Steele (as well as Lynn Swann and Ken Blackwell) as "lawn jockeys".

Now my point is this. If an interpretation of racism is worth over two weeks of non stop fake indignation by the liberal media, what are real factual documented examples of systematic party endorsed racism worthy of? A reasonable person, a logical person, a fair person would argue at least the same if not more as the insinuated type. They would be wrong, and thats a damn shame. Obama is a superstar and Ford is a rockstar, but they still have Steele shining stars.

All that aside it doesnt matter. He doesnt need the racist elitist liberal medias help anyhow. Michael Steele will be the next Senator of Maryland. I dont care if hes black, white, red, brown, purple or yellow. I follow Maryland politics closely and he is a fair man a decent man with real ideas for change. Being a conservative in New York City I dont get to back too many viable candidates, so I usually pick a horse in another state that Im affiliated with and throw the full donk support behind them, and as I mentioned in a a prior comment section that Wesley Snipe says always bet on black, well Im telling you if youre ever in a casino and you see me...put your chips with the Donkey, I cant lose. Let Me Guess, The Economy Has Nothing To Do With Anything... STUPID

There are some people out there who's opinions i respect a great deal, who are calling for a change in congress. They're telling me to stay home on election day. These people don't think the democrats will be any better, but they feel like they can't be any worse. While i agree that the republicans need to be taught a lesson, i don't think now is the time to teach it for a couple of reasons.

1. We are at a ctitical time in our countries history. We're fighting a global war on terror/radical islam and the dems seem to think that all we have to do is get the troops out of Iraq, and then we can all be friends. Well i have news for the party of knuckleheads, we weren't in Iraq on 9/11! In fact we weren't in Iraq when the terrorists attacked the towers the first time, or when they fought us in Somalia and dragged the body of a U.S. pilot through the streets, or when they attacked the embassies in Africa, or when they attacked the USS Cole! Yet we still hear idiotic statements from Wesley Clark, Howard Dean, and John Murtha (among others) who think that it's "because of Iraq" that we're less safe and have to fear terrorists. What? They don't want us to listen in on terrorists, they don't want us to be able to check out the financial records, they want to give constitutional rights to our enemies who are not entitled to them, and they want to treat this war as a law enforcement issue. The world is too dangerous to trust these people with our security. And....

2. We need a third party, and if we keep control of both houses this time around i think we can finally say that the democratic party is officially dead, or at least on life support. Think about it,

The average sixth-year midterm election, like this year, is much worse for the president's party, which typically loses 34 seats in the House and six seats in the Senate. This makes the average loss in two midterm elections for the party in the White House: 30 House seats and four or five Senate seats in each midterm election. In his first midterm election, George W. Bush picked up six House seats and two Senate seats — making him, according to The New York Times, "the first Republican president to gain House seats in an off-year election" and only the third president of either party to pick up House seats in a midterm election since the Civil War. This means that for Democrats simply to match the historical average gain for the party out of the White House during the first and second midterm, they would have to pick up 67 seats in the House and 11 seats in the Senate. Believe it or not, i don't want the Dems to completely go away, however as long as we have 2 parties that are so dominant and so close in every election, there is no reason for any drastic change by either party, and that means no chance for a third party to emerge. My hope would be for 2 more parties to emerge, one more conservative than the republican party(who i think have betrayed their conservative base) and one more centrist than the current ultra liberal democrats. I'm thinking it would force both parties to move right (especially fiscally) or risk being voted out.
