Half Full

You can look it as the Mets just got flat out embarrassed by the beaners or you can look at it as simply a warm team being bettered by a hot team. I however will choose to put on my Reynolds hat, and look at our secure double digit lead in the div and come to the realization that either Magnums team or the Sox are probably going to be wild and only one ALeast team advances. Being the opening band for the Broomtown Rats was no fun but it drops the yankees four back and that can be the only reason we got swept, to screw the bronx biotches. Now all we have to do is serve up a cuban sandwich, get back on trach and....

The Age Of Algore-ious

I may not be a scientist, but as an avid outdoorsman I think I am more qualified than Al Gore to comment on the current global non-crisis. The reason and the solution can be solved in one breath (or lack thereof).

Liberals think global warming is worse than I (and many climate experts) believe it is, because they talk too god damn much, and are surrounded by a bozone layer of their own hot air. Problem.

So if only the liberals greenbacks would just pipe down for one year, my studies indicate that the moon would be in the Seventh House and Jupiter would align with Mars and then peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars. So zip it hippies. Solution.

Hippie Bias? Nah

Would the New York Times pubish our nuclear launch codes if it acquired access to them because it "may be … a matter of public interest"?

The New York Times strikes again
By Paul Greenberg
Jun 27, 2006

A question: Do you think that style-setter of American journalism — The New York Times — would have run its expose of still another terrorist-tracking program if it had found out about it when the program was first set in motion, in the immediate aftermath of the Sept. 11 attacks?
Would the Times have rushed the story into print and given it the front-page play it did last week if smoke was still rising from the charred ruins of the Twin Towers, and the ashes of the dead were still being excavated as around-the-clock crews sifted through that mountain of debris?
Would this story have seen print while the smell of fire and smoke still lingered over the Pentagon’s blackened walls?
Would the world have been told about this secret program — well, formerly secret program — while police and firemen and rescue crews were still trying to locate the scattered remains of United Flight 93 in a once obscure field in Pennsylvania?
Suppose the long succession of funerals for the cops and firefighters who perished in the line of duty was still to come, and the country was still deep in shock, sorrow, anger . . . and girding up for this long war to come.
Suppose this was September 2001. Would The New York Times have revealed that various government agencies were cooperating with a European banking network to trace the movement of funds from al-Qaida’s moneymen to its operatives in the field?
Perhaps you think even less of the Times than I do, but I can’t imagine its editors deciding back then to tell the world about this counterterrorism program despite the pleas of government officials not to go public with the story.
Surely even the Times would have held back at the time, when our wounds were still fresh and other attacks were thought to be imminent, or at least inevitable. Surely the Times would have exercised some restraint, not just out of a concern for national security but out of an instinctive identity with a hurt and grieving nation as it prepared to strike back at those who did this — and those who helped them do it.
But that was then. Now, doubtless in large part because of programs like the one the Times has just outed, the terrorist attacks that were going to follow Sept. 11 haven’t materialized. Not yet. So concerns about national security now take second place to politics as usual, and journalism as usual. It's back to normalcy as the sleeping giant begins to drift off again.
The somber silence that followed Sept. 11 as the nation gathered its resolve has given way to partisan sniping.
The news that government agencies have been able to track the terrorists’ bank transfers is now supposed to elicit outrage, not applause.
The snappy sound bite is back in the news: “There are no checks and balances to look at people’s checks and balances.” — The Honorable Ed Markey, a congressmen from, of course, Massachusetts.
The congressman is echoed by Barry Steinhardt of the American Civil Liberties Union, who calls this counterterrorist program a “frightening invasion of civil liberties.”
How strange: I don’t feel frightened in the least by the existence of a Terrorist Finance Tracking Program somewhere in the bowels of the Treasury Department. Quite the opposite. On hearing of it, my immediate reaction was: Well, at least this government has been doing (ITALICS) something (END ITALICS) right. Especially when I read about the various al-Qaida types who had been tracked down through this quiet operation.
The only thing about this story that bothered me, besides its having been printed at all, was how many former G-men must have blabbed about this secret operation for word to reach The New York Times. That aspect of the story is not assuring at all. Don’t these people take oaths not to reveal classified information?
There’s no doubt the terrorists’ privacy has been violated, but isn’t that a consummation devoutly to be wished?
Have the rights of the innocent been in any way abused? The New York Times offers no such examples. Let it be noted that the banking cooperative that provided American authorities with all these leads — the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunications, or SWIFT — requires that government investigators produce the name of someone they suspect of a link to terrorism before it will release this information.
So let us now praise those Europeans who cooperated with American authorities to track down the bad guys. They renew the hope for solidarity in this war on terror. Unlike The New York Times.

Good Advice? from the NY CRimes

From the September 24, 2001 New York Times editorial ("Finances of Terror")

"Organizing the hijacking of the planes that crashed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon took significant sums of money. The cost of these plots suggests that putting Osama bin Laden and other international terrorists out of business will require more than diplomatic coalitions and military action. Washington and its allies must also disable the financial networks used by terrorists. The Bush administration is preparing new laws to help track terrorists through their money-laundering activity and is readying an executive order freezing the assets of known terrorists. Much more is needed, including stricter regulations, the recruitment of specialized investigators and greater cooperation with foreign banking authorities. There must also must be closer coordination among America's law enforcement, national security and financial regulatory agencies.

Osama bin Laden originally rose to prominence because his inherited fortune allowed him to bankroll Arab volunteers fighting Soviet forces in Afghanistan. Since then, he has acquired funds from a panoply of Islamic charities and illegal and legal businesses, including export-import and commodity trading firms, and is estimated to have as much as $300 million at his disposal.

Some of these businesses move funds through major commercial banks that lack the procedures to monitor such transactions properly. Locally, terrorists can utilize tiny unregulated storefront financial centers, including what are known as hawala banks, which people in South Asian immigrant communities in the United States and other Western countries use to transfer money abroad. Though some smaller financial transactions are likely to slip through undetected even after new rules are in place, much of the financing needed for major attacks could dry up.

Washington should revive international efforts begun during the Clinton administration to pressure countries with dangerously loose banking regulations to adopt and enforce stricter rules. These need to be accompanied by strong sanctions against doing business with financial institutions based in these nations. The Bush administration initially opposed such measures. But after the events of Sept. 11, it appears ready to embrace them.

The Treasury Department also needs new domestic legal weapons to crack down on money laundering by terrorists. The new laws should mandate the identification of all account owners, prohibit transactions with "shell banks" that have no physical premises and require closer monitoring of accounts coming from countries with lax banking laws. Prosecutors, meanwhile, should be able to freeze more easily the assets of suspected terrorists. The Senate Banking Committee plans to hold hearings this week on a bill providing for such measures. It should be approved and signed into law by President Bush.

New regulations requiring money service businesses like the hawala banks to register and imposing criminal penalties on those that do not are scheduled to come into force late next year. The effective date should be moved up to this fall, and rules should be strictly enforced the moment they take effect. If America is going to wage a new kind of war against terrorism, it must act on all fronts, including the financial one."

Tony Snow: 'The NEW YORK TIMES and other news organizations ought to think long and hard about whether a public's right to know in some cases might override somebody's right to live.

MORE IMPORTANTLY

TREASON - This word imports a betraying, treachery, or breach of allegiance. The Constitution of the United States, Art. III, defines treason against the United States to consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid or comfort. This offence is punished with death. By the same article of the Constitution, no person shall be convicted of treason, unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

We must hunt down, root out the leaking rats and bring them up on charges of treason. Last time I checked the ny and la Times had roughly two readers and without a doubt advising the terrorists of the covert ops we are using to track them certainly construes "aid and comfort". There have been calls to investigate the press and I would agree, but only to discover the identities of the rats. Funny how the libs didnt have a problem investigating the leaker of the Vanity Fair covergirl, but cry freedom of press when its anti-Bush and anti-American (sensing a pattern?) Someone once said...

Just because you have the right
Doesnt mean its the right thing

The press must remain free no matter how big of scummbagging treacherous jackasses they might be, but there has to come a point. However, the rats revealing this information about the incredibly effective covert tactics of how we are monitoring terrorist communications and money laundering, if as is probably the case, that they are in the intelligence community, then they have taken an oath to protect our Country and have signed numerous confidentiality contracts. To betray that is illegal, and for that, the rats must be punished. To paraphrase the cheesy 70's flick "Over The Edge"

An American that rats
out America to terrorists
Is a dead kid

Terrorists, (They've Had) The NY Times All Their Lives

I cancelled my subscription to the Nation Review a few years back as I embraced the paleo-con within, and stopped visiting them online after they discontinued the educational and entertaining "Buckley's Word of the Day" feature. But now again I swing by to see what the keanu-cons are up to. Well they hit the hippies on the head today.

As Ive been saying for quite some time, the dems are no longer an anti-war party, as their recent voting record indicates...they are a full fledged pro-terrorism anti-American party plain and simple. Now all you rank and file hippies out there before you start your whining, I am specifically addressing the democratic leadership... (see Murtha: "American presence in Iraq is more dangerous to world peace than nuclear threats from North Korea or Iran") and the liberal mainstream media (see ny times: once again, revealing covert anti-terrorism measures).

Regarding the pelosi whipped Murtha, I think its time Jessep issued a Code Red on this traitor. And as far as the ny slimes is concerned I think as The National Reviews argues, its time to put the babies in the corner... story

Every Vote Counts

Ok sportsfans, its that time of year again to fulfill your civic duty and vote. Vote early and often (you are allowed twenty-five votes, Selig must be a democrat). Thats right Im talking about the Midsummer Classic, the MLB All-Star Game. Four Mets deservedly are atop the polls.

Paul La Duca: Catcher
Carlos Beltran: Outfield
Jose Reyes: Shortstop
David Wright: Third

The Aurora asks for your support. Lo Duca and Beltran seem to be locks at their position, but Reyes and Wright (both viable MVP candidates) are in a tight race with Eckstein and Rolen of the Cards. This is going to come down to the wire. St Louis fans in recent years have propelled their players to the top via last minute online voting surges, reminiscent of the Democratic party illegally keeping the Missouri polls open later than allowed during the '04 Presidential Election.

Fight the injustice. Fight for whats right. Vote Reyes and Wright.

FAG

Im not gonna go into a big rant defending Ozzie Guillen, esp. considering what they just did to the red birds. Im afraid.

But I would really like to know why calling someone a FAG is somehow worse than any other name. Why am I reading about it in the news. Why has he been penalized. Senior dems call our troops and Republicans worse every other day.

A black kid kills a white kid its a crime. A white kid kills a black kid its a HATE CRIME.

Explain that to me. DEFINE a LOVE crime. Crime is always hate, color aside.

Seriously, why is FAG newsworthy and something like nazi isnt? Besides poppers FAGS never gassed anyone that I know of.

I live in New York. I know FAGS and the names Im called as a straight conservative white male make FAG sound like poetry. Labels are labels. One is no worse no better than the other, so why does the press and the dems perpetuate the misnomer of said words as hateful only bcus it fits their politics.

Is it bcuz as the Diceman once said...

Kerry's retreat resolution gets beat down

Now shut up already. If the anti-war democrats arent willing to put their balls on the line, then its time for them to shut their friggin pie hole. They are lying cowards with zero political courage. If you are anti-war, you should vote for every single bill fluff or not, that proposes an end to our involvement in Iraq. And you can be damn certain if they gain control of Congress that is exactly what theyll do, but for now they are acting like the pusillanimous little school girls that they are. Man up or pipe down bitches.

Immigration Policy For Dummies

An Open Letter from Mayor Lou Barletta:

I believe the United States of America is the greatest nation on Earth. People who are in this country have an incredible amount of opportunities and blessings. But some people have taken advantage of America’s openness and tolerance. Some come to this country and refuse to learn English, creating a language barrier for city employees. Others enter the country illegally and use government services by not paying taxes or by committing crime on our streets, further draining resources here in Hazleton.
Illegal immigration leads to higher crime rates, contributes to overcrowded classrooms and failing schools, subjects our hospitals to fiscal hardship and legal residents to substandard quality of care, and destroys our neighborhoods and diminishes our overall quality of life.
The City of Hazleton is empowered and mandated by the people of Hazleton to abate the nuisance of illegal immigration by aggressively prohibiting and punishing the acts, policies, people and businesses that aid and abet illegal aliens. That is why I proposed the Illegal Immigration Relief Act.
Part of this ordinance, if enacted, would punish companies that hire illegal immigrants by denying them permits, making it harder for them to renew permits and forcing their loss of city business.
Another part would hold landlords accountable. Because people moving into the city naturally require a place to sleep, our landlords are our first line of defense. Landlords who rent to illegal immigrants—that is, who rent to people without checking their documentation, may be fined $1,000.00 for every illegal immigrant staying on their properties.
The final part of this ordinance makes English the official language of Hazleton. All city documents will only be available in English. Those applying for a permit would have to speak English. While our emergency services will never be denied to anyone because of a language barrier, every other aspect of city business will be conducted only in English. Let me be clear, this ordinance is intended to make Hazleton one of the most difficult places in the U.S. for illegal immigrants.
This measure is not racist because it does not target one particular race. The Illegal Immigration Relief Act is intended to deter and punish any illegal immigration in the City of Hazleton. Requiring the use of English does not target any other language; it merely states that no matter what language you prefer to speak at home, English will be spoken when you conduct business with Hazleton officials.
Illegal Immigration is a drain on city resources. Every domestic incident, every traffic accident, every noise complaint, each time we send our police department, fire department or code enforcement officer to respond, it costs taxpayer dollars.
If the City of Hazleton began publishing official documents or conducting business in a second language, how would we respond when someone asks us to use a third, or fourth language?
Recent crimes – the shooting on Chestnut Street, the discharge of firearms at the Pine Street Playground, and high profile drug busts – have involved illegal immigrants. Sadly, some of those allegedly involved in those crimes were detained by other law enforcement officials over the years, but were somehow allowed to remain in this country. They eventually migrated into Hazleton, where they helped create a sense of fear in the good, hardworking residents who are here legally.
This ordinance does not roll back the welcome mat to those who are legally in the United States. This country was built on the backs of legal immigrants. My own great grandparents came to this country seeking a better life. Rather, this ordinance seeks to stem the flow of illegal immigrants into Hazleton. They are not welcome here!
To the residents of Hazleton, I say thank you for your continued support. Hazleton is moving forward and becoming an even better place to live. To our recently arrived legal immigrants, I say welcome. I personally wish you all the best. With hard work and determination, the United States and Hazleton can be a place where your dreams come true. And to illegal immigrants and those who would hire or abet them in any way, I say your time is up. You are no longer welcome.

If you support this measure, please
click this link to email us your support . You can also show your support by attending the City Council meeting on Thursday, June 15th @ 7:00 P.M. where this ordinance will be presented to Council for approval. The next council meeting where the second reading will take place is July 13th @ 7:00 P.M. Please mail your petition in before that date to show your support.
You may also contact my office at 570-459-4910.

Thank you and God Bless America.
LOU BARLETTA
Mayor, City of Hazleton

Just replace the United States of America with Hazleton and you gots a plan. Well said Mayor Barletta.

Its a good start and an even better sign of true grassroots political realism and emotions, however it starts and ends with the BORDER. As good as Mayor Barlettas intentions are, everything he described as being a drain on the taxpayers dime can not be replaced with more bureaucracy of door knockers. Shut off the faucet and the water will stop, a sponge will only displace it.

Sounds Of Silence

They say silence is golden, that might be so, but in the case of democrats it sure aint Red White and Blue. Case in point:

John Murtha, the poster boy for the Blame America first crowd is not shy when it comes to press conferences. If something happens in Iraq, hes the first to the cameras. Take Haditha for example, he passed judgement before he even knew the facts.

Murtha's statement: Marines had “killed innocent civilians in cold blood”

Now unless youve had your head in the sand (or are a democrat) you may have noticed that two brave souls from our military were recently captured, tortured, murdered, and who's corpses were used as IEDs to kill more Americans. Ill have you hippies know, all violations of the Geneva Convention.

Murtha's statement:

Wake Up Call

How many times have we seen Americans brutally tortured? How many times have we seen these animals in Iraq and Afghanistan target and blow up innocent civilians? How many times have we seen terrorists and "insurgents" try to hide behind children and in mosques?

Now how many times have we seen these "impartial" organizations like Amnesty International denounce these actions? How many marches have they organized to protest these actions?
Why don't they feature this stuff on their websites? I went to Amnesty International website this morning, and NO mention of these soldiers being tortured, yet the LEFT in this country, and some readers here like ANITA, and Ron Nasty, use these groups as their source to prove that America is torturing prisoners. WAKE UP!

Interestingly silent on this and other atrocities carried out by the insurgents in Iraq are the “human rights” groups who seem to spend every day accusing the United States of torture, war crimes, and various human rights violations. UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan has called the Iraq war “illegal,” and John Pace, former UN chief of Human Rights for Iraq, has said that human rights conditions are “as bad now as they were under Saddam,” but was it America that filled mass graves with hundreds of thousands of murdered Iraqi civilians? Last month, Human Rights Watch again accused the US of “brutalizing Muslim suspects in the name of the war on terror,” but how many times have Americans strapped bombs to their own chests and purposely detonated themselves in a large crowd of civilians? Amnesty International’s website highlights America’s use of “torture or other cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment” against terrorist captives, but how many prisoners—Muslim or otherwise—have Americans brutally beheaded?

Is There A Lawyer In The House

This is an emergency, potentially life and death. We need some attorneys, preferably who are willing to work pro bono for a very very very good cause. It seems that some of our soldiers have been captured in Iraq and it is feared that their rights may be violated, real life honest to goodness torture even, now I know what youre thinking, could the insurgents be so barbaric to point at our troop's genitals? Maybe even put a dog collar on them? Perhaps, but its hard to say. They may even take pictures, live video even....the horrific indignation.

If anyone from the ACLU is out there, please respond. Im afraid the situation is looking bleak. I have noticed the good and courageous work you recently accomplished keeping a high school valedictorian in Sin City (of all the places, can you imagine that) from uttering the G word in her commencement speech, and think you are perfect for the task. Gitmo experience a plus, but not required.

Im no Nostradamus, but I have a feeling there will be not be the same outcry from the left for the animalistic torture and murder of two of America's finest, Pfc Kristian Menchaca, of Houston, and Pfc Thomas L. Tucker, of Madras, Ore., like there was for Abu Gharib or Gitmo. I doubt Murtha or Kerry (two vets, if you didnt listen to them tell you...again,and again, and again) will call out the Al Qaeda thugs for being the terrorist murderous thugs that they are. Dont plan on seeing a call for a full investigation (with UN approval of course) on any of the liberal blogs. You may see some pictures once they are released on the MSM, but thats only because they are bloodthirsty whores, and be sure it will be an anti-American slant to the story (like a hooker getting raped, they had it coming), but dont look to hard for a cartoon of Yo Mohammed, because that would be in poor taste.

Im not saying liberals take pleasure in the deaths of American soldiers (Im not saying that am I?) but I sure as hell dont think they mind it all that much. Well not as much as making sure terrorists get their door mats and comic book copys of the koran in Cuba.

Druish Princess Of The Week

The next Giuliani?

Well maybe not, but he's off to a good start.

"Illegal immigrants are destroying the city," said Mayor Lou Barletta, a Republican. "I don't want them here, period."
Last week Barletta introduced, and the City Council tentatively approved, a measure that would revoke the business licenses of companies that employ illegal immigrants; impose $1,000 fines on landlords who rent to illegal immigrants; and make English the city's official language.

Fourteen Minutes Fifty-Nine Seconds

Well the previously unknown and Murtha is at it again, once again weve lost another politician's soul to the allure of of guest spots on weekend morning news and potential book deals. I sure would hate to have my tombstone read:

"Here lies a distinguished Veteran and Congressman that betrayed his country after a long and honorable career, at a time when she needed him most"

Well Murtha has found his notoriety by doing just that. I suppose the bright lights of CNN press conferences were just too much to resist. He is not anti-war, he is pro-terrorist.

Its one thing to oppose the Iraq War, its a whole other ball game to actually be rooting for an insurgent victory and the defeat of American troops, as Murtha is once again doing. Not only is he wrong, we can and are winning this war on the battlefield, but his defeatist attitude is cowardly and un-patriotic. Yeah thats right UNPATRIOTIC! Now before you hippies raise a patchouli stink, let me clarify... opposing the war does not make you unpatriotic, rooting for the bad guys does.

Murtha's Rush To Judgement

June 14, 2006 -- EDITOR'S NOTE: Ilario Pantano wrote the following letter to The Washington Post (which printed it), but we believe it's of interest to New York Post readers, too.

A year ago I was charged with two counts of premeditated murder and with other war crimes related to my service in Iraq. My wife and mother sat in a Camp Lejeune courtroom for five days while prosecutors painted me as a monster; then autopsy evidence blew their case out of the water, and the Marine Corps dropped all charges against me ["Marine Officer Cleared in Killing of Two Iraqis," Washington Post news story, May 27, 2005].

So I know something about rushing to judgment, which is why I am so disturbed by the remarks of Rep. John P. Murtha (D-Pa.) regarding the Haditha incident ["Death Toll Rises in Haditha Attack, GOP Leader Says," news story, May 20]. Mr. Murtha said, "Our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them, and they killed innocent civilians in cold blood."

In the United States, we have a civil and military court system that relies on an investigatory and judicial process to make determinations based on evidence. The system is not served by such grand pronouncements of horror and guilt without the accuser even having read the investigative report.

Mr. Murtha's position is particularly suspect when he is quoted by news services as saying that the strain of deployment "has caused them [the Marines] to crack in situations like this." Not only is he certain of the Marines' guilt but he claims to know the cause, which he conveniently attributes to a policy he opposes.

Members of the U.S. military serving in Iraq need more than Mr. Murtha's pseudo-sympathy. They need leaders to stand with them even in the hardest of times. Let the courts decide if these Marines are guilty. They haven't even been charged with a crime yet, so it is premature to presume their guilt - unless that presumption is tied to a political motive.

Ilario Pantano

Where are those superhero do-gooders, the ACLU when you need them. Im sure they just have a very busy case load to be able to defend American soldier's "civil liberties", you know, busy suing The Boy Scouts, removing The Ten Commandments from courthouses, and fighting for the right(s) (to communist party) of terrorists. Seriosly the frickin pinkos at the ACLU are more concerned with whether or not camel bangers in Gitmo are getting their proper reading materials and door mats, yet Marines (who are innocent until proven guilty) are in shackles. That shiite aint right.

Murtha, well, hes just a jackass blame America first surrender prone coward.

No Habla Irish

By the end of this June, 2006 our government CAN DEPORT Malachy, Nicola and Sean McAllister.

April 10, 2006: The United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit decided against the McAllister family's appeal against deportation, finding that restrictive "post - 9/11" legislation was insurmountable by the court. In a remarkable "concurring" opinion, Judge Maryanne Barry cites our basic American principals saying "I refuse to believe that "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free ..." is now an empty entreaty. But if it is, shame on us." Complaining that the court's hands were tied in deciding the matter, she implores the Attorney General* to "exercise his discretion and permit this deserving family to stay". * This discretion now lies with Michael Chertoff, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security.

Judge Barry's unprecedented request reflects court's frustration that "anti-terrorist" legislation governing this matter must never have been intended for the McAllister's, who have lived as model Americans for over a decade, deserve asylum here and never have or will pose any threat to their adopted country.

ACT NOW! TO STOP THE McALLISTER FAMILY DEPORTATIONS.
CALL YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS IMMEDITATELY.
ASK THEM TO CALL/WRITE HOMELAND SECURITY CHIEF MICHAEL CHERTOFF.
ASK THEM TO CALL FOR "DEFERRED ACTION STATUS" FOR THE McALLISTERS.

Ask your elected officials to send individual letters IMMEDIATELY in support of the McAllister family to Michael Chertoff of Homeland Security asking for "Deferred Action Status". If officials have any questions or need a case update, refer them to Deanna Turner at: Phone: 347-448-6160. Email: editor@iauc.org

You can reach your Congress Member or Senator by calling the Congressional Switchboard: (202) 224- 3121

If You Got Beef Chief Im Knocking Out Teeth Keith

Once again The Aurora was ahead of the curve exposing liberal jackassery. We posted a scathing investigative report way back in May of '06 revealing Keith Olbermann for the tool that he is, the mainstream media is finally smartening up and following our lead. Once again a liberal fights the injustice of "hate speech" with, well...um...hate speech. Keep up the good work Keith and congrats on your stellar ratings.

None Of The Above

Liberals have it all wrong, and its been fun to watch. Its not so funny anymore. Ive long watched with great pleasure of the huge disparity between liberal thinkers slash voters and liberal leadership. The liberal movement started and ended in the sixties (commie wannabes leftover from the forties) just like kids wore tie dyes in the eighties except dead heads made grilled cheese and spin danced now they just spin

Liberalism is a dirty word because it should be. Look at it and say otherwise. It is now an ideology of baby killing military bashing and god forsaken. If im wrong correct me, wait I forgot race baiting...you frickin nigger spick micks. I expect no less.

The Republican Party is worse. Much worse. I live and vote in NYC so I vote two ways, if a conservative is on the ballot Ill be one of the three hundred that vote for them, otherwise I vote in descending order...Irish, Jew, Italian if republicans if not I abstain from that vote. My record of never voting for a winning President remains intact.

Heres where my problem lies...the GOP used to speak for me. Im immigrant born, wealthy but poor yet anti Reagan Kennedy Irish catholic household. Before I lost my virginity I knew I was a Conservative. And I knew I was right.

They have failed me, and it saddens me. Now I know how libs feel. Well besides the hating my country part. I love America, warts and all, and in my small way I hope the dialogue that I contribute through this blog shows.

That being said I will announce my Brewster's Millions (yet another great Candy flick) approach going forward. I will vote contrary even if it kills me to vote dem. OK maybe thats the booze talking, wont do that.

but...

I wont vote GOP until they earn it back. Conservative (maybe libertarian), or not at all.

Petty And The Newsbreakers

Are you fricking kidding me? Am I getting this right that the White House press corp is upset about being left in the dark over President George W. Bush's recent TOP SECRET trip to Iraq. Im sure the new york times would have loved to give al-qaeda a front page heads up on Dubya's travel itinerary, but I dont think in the interest of national security that would have been prudent, not gonna do it. Could you get more petty, the poor babies. I dont think they grasp the concept that their job is to report the news, not be the news. Unfortunately Ive become immune to the negativity of the news, but how about this for an angle...as opposed to denigrating this historic trip as a photo op and stagecraft, heres an interesting take, The POTUS risks life and limb to boost the morale of our troops and show support for our newly elected ally Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki in our ongoing fight on terror...just a thought.

This is the reason subscriptions at major newspapers and viewership of network (and non Fox cable) news continues to suffer. People are tired of only seeing glass half empty stories.

A Byrd In The Klan Is Worth Two Against Bush

"I want to say this about my state: When Strom Thurmond ran for president, we voted for him. We're proud of it. And if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we wouldn't have had all these problems over all these years, either."

Saying this gets Trent Lott run out of Washington.

But applauding a former Ku Klux Klan recruiter (is that the politically correct term for cross burner?) is just honky dory. Who once said in regards to the desegregation of the military, that he would rather "die a thousand times" than fight alongside "race mongrels", and in his first term joined the failed filibuster of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

Once again the liberal double standard rears its ugly head, Strom and Trent were a racists, Byrd was just a misguided youth, who mistakenly joined an organization that inadvertently burned crosses and murdered a sect of people because of the color of their skin. Me? I threw rocks at rail cars and smoked some doobage. Byrd, well, he lynched uppity negroes. Crazy kids!

As bothersome as that its is, its not the only problem I have...

Number one, although I appreciate the class shown and the high road taken, why is it when protocol dictates kind words be said of a colleague on the other side of the aisle, the Republicans really lay it on thick. Too thick in my opinion, yadda yadda yadda congrats to Robert K Byrd on a long career blah blah blah, then move on, BUT NOOOOOOO! This is what we get from the Republican suckasses.

Sen. Arlen Specter, R-Pa, "He is a scholar and devotee of the doctrine of separation of powers, something which seems to have been forgotten lately,"

Sen. Ted Stevens, R-Alaska, "patriarch of our Senate family."

Sen. John Warner, R-Va, "No man hath a greater love for this Senate."

Sen Bill Frist, R-TN, "The dean of the Senate, one of the greatest orators"

Sen. Mitch McConnell R- KY ""No one has had a greater career here,"

When will they learn playing nice doesnt work with Democrats, as they rarely return the pleasantries. People think Congress is nasty now, wait til the Dems gain control, the frickin animals.

Secondly, nobody should be allowed to serve for forty eight years. The lack of term limits promotes greed corruption and laziness. Case in point, politicians like Don Young R-AK, and Byrd are the worst perpetuators of wreckless spending due strictly to their long tenures. In recognition of this, Robert kkk Byrd has recently been named "Porker of the Month" by the Citizens Against Government Waste. Its kind of like "Employee of the Month" at Mickey D's except you dont get your picture on the wall, but as a small consolation you get roughly (in dr. evil voice) one billion dollars of taxpayers earnings to piss away on things like the Robert Byrd "Rope Swing."

Liberals Want To Take Their Ball And Go Home Now

Liberals are perennially enraged that Republicans are allowed to talk back. For years, this wasnt a problem, because, in Lenin's immortal words, they had seized the telegraph office. There were only three TV stations, three major newspapers, and a handful of national magazines, all run by liberals. But at least since Rush Limbaugh got a microphone, liberals havent been able to make arguments in a vacuum. The Left's long-running monologue had become a dialogue, and they didnt like it one bit. So now they constantly try and re-create a world where they can hurl slander and treason without anyone arguing back. They needed a doctrine of infallibility.

Reprinted without permission from Ann Coulter's Godless from the chapter in much "discussion" lately, if discussion means calling Ann a meanie, that is. For the record her point is dead on balls accurate. The cowardly behavior of liberals in this regard is the very definition of pusillanimous.

Pure Gasoline

You Cant Take It With You, So Gift It Before You Die

"Hey! You got your chocolate in my peanut butter!" "You got your peanut butter in my chocolate!" Unlike the delicious symbiotic relationship of the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup, Death and Taxes, although unfortunately death is inevitable and taxes legally unavoidable they should never be co-mingled. Bottom line is it is intrinsically unfair and criminal to tax someone all their life and them punish them by double taxing their life savings for not pissing their money away and having the decency and solid family values to try and take care of their descendants.

Yes, the deficit is out of control and needs to be corrected, but more taxes are never the answer, better accountability for spending is. The liberal obstructionist filibustering is a disgrace to all taxpayers, even those 99% that arent affected by this law.

I am just as disappointed by the incompetent leadership of Bill Frist and those Republicans that abstained or voted against this measure. FYI GOP, you control the Senate, the House of Representatives, and the White House, perhaps it's time you strapped on a a set and stopped being so gosh dang pusillanimous.

The more we grant them unbridled access to our earnings, the more foolhardy they will spend it.

Sometimes Moore is (God)Less

The Democrats really are pathetic. It looks like if there is such a thing as a Clinton Legacy, its that of the flip flop, the waffling, the short term selective memory, the pandering, and the blatant hypocrisy. The Dems have now called for Republicans to distance themselves from Coulter. Why is that? Is it because they have no tolerance for "hate speech", aka everything they disagree with or cant argue on merits . Last time I checked Ann Coulter is not an elected official and has no official role in the GOP. She is what she is, a radio personality, a television pundit, a best selling author, a self described pot stirring polemicist. Smart as she is, shes still just an entertainer.

As I stated in a previous post I am more concerned with what elected officials have to say or do. I love her, but shes a hack, and to compare her to legislators would be a disservice (to her). Ive been a fan for years and I cant recall one instance where she was officially embraced or endorsed by the Republican Party, Republican candidates or officials. Are the message-less democrats now going to become the anti-Coulter party, is that the new party platform (was there an old one). Probably.

Now for the point of my argument lets try to find someone similar to Coulter on the other side. Michael Moore will do. Its probably pretty apparent what my opinion of is him. Like I told him to his face, I think he's a big fat lying commie. For this post I will save my breath and let him talk for himself.

"there is no terrorist threat in this country. This is a lie. This is the biggest lie weve been told."

"(Americans) are possibly the dumbest people on the planet"

"The Iraqis who have risen up against the occupation are not "insurgents" or "terrorists" or "The Enemy." They are the REVOLUTION, the Minutemen, and their numbers will grow -- and they will win."

"Fuck all these small businesses - fuck 'em all! Bring in the chains. The small businesspeople are the rednecks that run the town and suppress the people. Fuck 'em all. That's how I feel."

"White people scare the crap out of me."

He's more than free (thanks to the military he so despises) to express his anti-American, anti-Semitic, anti-military, pro-terrorist, anti-small business racist rantings all he wants, first amendment and all, but how does the Democratic party feel about his "hate speech" I cant recall a single democrat ever denouncing Michael Moore, in fact being the star-fuckers that they are, they loved it, they embraced it, they endorsed it. They give him a seat in disgraced ex-President jimmy crack corn carter's box at the Democratic National Convention. Hateful rhetoric is acceptable to liberals only if it is anti-American, anti-Caucasian, anti-Israel, anti-Christian and anti-Republican.
You cant have it both ways, demonize Coulter but lionize Moore. Will the Democrats ever learn?

Jackassocrites!!!

on a side note, how great was Ann's response to Hillary. It sure as hell shut her up.

The New Number Two

The press two for espanol has been replaced in my craw. As much as that annoys the shite out of me, its of my opinion that private companies should be able to cater to any clientele they so choose, Manhattan Latins or otherwise. My favorite OTB is in Chinatown and the wager slips are in slantonese (spelling?). Public works are an entirely different matter, for I feel very strongly that govt biz should be conducted exclusively in English.

The current idiocy du jour that riles me up is Citibank's ATM's. The first thing you have to establish is that you habla ingles, of course it is. Im used to that by now. What really gets me is after selecting your language, enter your pin, select transaction type, account type, dollar amount...the wonderful wizard of jackassery then asks the question that drives me nuts...

ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO PROCEED?

Are you fricking kidding me, I just went thru a five step process and NOW Im going to back out? Ridonkulous! Isn't that what the cancel button is for. What is the worst possible scenario that warrants such a dire warning. Banks are just like politicians in that they don't realize that it is our money. How the topic of tax cuts could even be debatable is beyond me. We have your money and would like to keep playing with it, are you sure you want to proceed?

Meow

Ive got to be honest with you. The thought of a Coulter Clinton catfight is kind of turning me on. Separately, both woman arent very attractive, but as a result of their recent spat, thoughts of a panty party pillow fight have entered my sick and twisted mind.

As far as Harpiegate is concerned. Have you all lost your mind, its Ann Coulter. Its what she does, and does very well I might add, as Ive enjoyed all her books. Am I to understand that the very same party that constantly compares our troops to murderous thugs like Pol Pot (durbin) and Ghengis Khan (kerry) and whose supporters carry signs at rallies comparing our President to Hitler and Republicans as nazis are now upset over some name calling.

HOGWASH!

My heart goes out to all those that have lost loved ones, 9/11 and otherwise. When tragedy strikes its...well tragic, These womens voice deserves to heard, just as Coulters does, but by no means does their loss make them experts on suffering. Were Ann's comments in bad taste, probably, did she cross the line, I dont think so. Coulter is a polemicist, its how she makes her living.

The future Jersey Playmates have entered into the political arena as activists unrelated to 9/11, and are as much fair game as anyone. In fact all the hoopla surrounding this controversy has proven Ann's point that since liberals dont have a message youre not allowed to question the absolutely morally authoritative messenger.

Who-less? That's great!

George Clooney said that it was difficult making his movie Good Night and Good Luck because so many people had read your book, Treason, which exposed the truth about Soviet agents in the U.S. government and exonerated Sen. Joseph McCarthy. What impact do you hope Godless will have on the political scene and people’s misconceptions about evolution?

"I would like evolution to join the roster of other discredited religions, like the Cargo Cult of the South Pacific. Practitioners of Cargo Cult believed that manufactured products were created by ancestral spirits, and if they imitated what they had seen the white man do, they could cause airplanes to appear out of the sky, bringing valuable cargo like radios and TVs. So they constructed “airport towers” out of bamboo and “headphones” out of coconuts and waited for the airplanes to come with the cargo. It may sound silly, but in defense of the Cargo Cult, they did not wait as long for evidence supporting their theory as the Darwinists have waited for evidence supporting theirs."

Double Header

Now before I get on my donkbox, I would like to make one thing perfectly clear...attending live sporting events is one of my favorite activities. Baseball and football primarily but you name the sport and Ive seen it live, heck Ive even been known to sit ringside at WWF events. Stop typing Rhino, I know its not a real sport (that is since that golden hue haired heathen hulkster became champ), but Ill tell ya if youve never gone, I would highly recommend it for the sheer comedic value of it all, as you will never be seated so close to absolute maniacs, and not the wrestlers.

The problem with sporting events are the fans. You see, this may come as surprise to those that know me, and those readers whose only knowledge of me is that of an overwhelmingly charming and gregarious barnyard animal, but I hate people. Mind you I dont hate all people, just most of them. Take for example those "fans" decked out in their teams colors gung ho to support their team but once they arrive at the stadium become lost little sheep. Every stadium, arena, dome, track, etc Ive been to uses an alpha-numeric system. That being said, you should be able to air-drop a class of fifth graders into any event and every single one of them should find their seats. Not the case. It never ceases to amaze me when people ask for directions inside of a building. Do you know the alphabet? Yes. Can you count to one hundred? Yes. Then find your seat jackass. I cant figure it out. Is it laziness, herd mentality, or just a lack of common sense.

Which brings me to the slutty back tattoo. Now maybe Ive just been spoiled because the people that have the tix in front of me havent been to a game in seven years or maybe its because this chick wasnt hot, but I hate it when people sit in front of me. If its a full house I dont care, but when there are thirty empty seats next to the seats in front, behind, or on the side of me...common sense should dictate that you sit in those seats. Right? Now I know Im handsome and chicks dig me so its understandable they want to be near me, to smell my scent, my musk. So this broad has a tattoo on the small of her back which read Rock ~n~ Roll. So for every big play, Im cheering ROCK n ROLL. Although not clever, I figured it was a personal touch. She never figured it out, which her constant cell phone yapping in Russian I guess explains, I know what youre thinking, back tattooed Ruskie....jackpot, giggity giggity. Trust me, not hot. And another frickin thing. People that use speakerphones in public should be shot, or fall victim to the peanut punishment that awaits those seated in front of me that meet my displeasure.

Now it was raining on Saturday, and seeing that my seats are under slight cover my area became very popular. With jackasses. Such as the guy behind me that dropped a quarter under my seat when ordering a Kosher hot dog. This will come as no surprise considering the previous picture, but I am a part time slob. Theres an old saying "You dont shit where you live" Well I dont live at Shea. I knew he dropped something, but I figured it was change as he didnt say anything for quite some time. Well that time came around the sixth inning meltdown of El Duque, so Im not a happy donkey So this jackass asks me for the quarter under my ketchup encrusted pepper -n- onions peppered seat. I stood up handed the guy a dollar, grabbed the quarter and chucked it.

At this point in the game Shea is empty so I figure Ill grab some premo field seats for game two of the double header. The place was empty but they were stopping everyone without field tickets. Almost everyone. So we grab some orange seats in a pretty good but empty location, figuring the place would be desolate for the second game, and further jackassery could be avoided for the next four five hours. Not the case. A pack of loud drunken paddys sit right in front of me. Noone else is in our section. At this point Im ready to fight, so I tell them to beat it and they respond with slurs, not racial slurs, but slurring (no idea what they said), but didnt move, so I packed up and moved directly in front of them. More words were exchanged, they left.

Noticing this, an usher and a security guard approach me. No problems, none were expected being that Im a grey haired donkey most people figure me to be a cop or a gangster. We get to talking and it seems they've been having problems all day because people figured (rightly so) they could move to better seats as the big shot field level seat holders dont stick around in the rain for double headers. So Vinnie (the usher) tells me they got the call from corporate to not let anyone sit in the field boxes without proper ticketage, and they were suspending ushers that allowed it to happen. Its bad enough that on a cold rainy day they ran out of coffee hot chocolate and beer, but to give a big FUCK YOU to those die hard fans weathering the storm is a disgrace. Back when Doubleday was an owner, they would send ushers up to the cheap seats and bring people down. Hell I remember going to games with Fly and his brother and the cops would tell us that we should bring our own booze to save money, ah the good ol days.

Well into game two and Glavine is pitching a gem (Willie why didnt he start the first game on seven days rest?) and its apparent Vinne the Usher is comfortable with me as hes dropping racial slurs left and right, and referring to the Mets as the New York Dominicans. As a redneck Conservative I can appreciate a good off color racial joke as much as the next cracker but theres a time and place (the back nine of the club). If the Mets were made up of albino aborigines, as long they could play ball I would root for them. I root for David Wright no more than Jose Reyes or Cliff Floyd because hes a honkey. Win games for my Mets and Im on your side. At Shea the colors I see are blue and orange, at klan rallies, thats another matter.

So getting bored with his constant carping as well anticipating the approaching Pepsi T-shirt launch I slip Vin a fin and tell him to get us down closer. Done. So for the last four innings Im chilling with Mr Met on the dugout and witness another great extra inning Mets win.

So in closing I would like to say...

Lets Go Mets!

Jackasses just go

Saturday Day and Night Special

Just got back from the Mets double header, which they split. Mets won the second game with yet another walk off, this time Woodwards sac fly bringing the rook Milledge in. Total time spent at Shea, nine hours and forty five rain soaked minutes. Stay tuned tomorrow for the full recap as Im about to wash down a couple vikes with a shot of Patron and a Corona or two, followed by a polar bear like hibernation until Sunday's first pitch.

I promise it will be filled with sordid tales of slutty back tattoos, annoying children, stereotypical stingy jews, drunken micks (besides me), bigoted italians, giant headed mascots (besides me), a dose of corporate greed/mismanagement and fret you not Aurorans the usual peppering of donkeynanigans. Fun for the whole family. Now excuse me while I pass out.

Kind of like.....

another way to call a cat a kitten........... HERE

AMNISTIA

Apparently the "comprehensive" immigration plan for illegal immigrants involves a $2000.00 fine (which we'll never collect) and 2 years of tax amnesty! Can i get that deal? I would gladly pay that fine if i could get 2 years tax amnesty, oh an i also want a get out of jail free card for at least one felony!

The Senate bill also forgives illegal aliens who have committed identity theft by stealing American Social Security numbers to get jobs.
So in addition to the Two Years Tax-Free plan for illegals, they get one free felony.

Cougar Of The Week

Wake Up Right People

As long as Ive been politically inclined, Ive seen the need for viable alternatives. In 1980 I voted for Anderson in my grade school mock election, and the first time my vote counted as an a dolt, I rolled up my sleeves, grabbed up on that lever and flipped the switch for Perot.

Ive long called for a third party, but in recent years have called for a fresh start. Death to GOP and the democrats. Death I say. Truth be told, they are on life support as is....they just dont realize it yet, and the lack of options at the booth has prolonged the inevitable and necessary demise of the failed two party political system. Once again I nominate myself as the leader of this revolt, and in the fine tradition of Teddy, hereby name this movement the Bull Donkey Party.

Ok thats enough from me for now, Ill let my woman take it from here....

"Partisanship is fine when it's an expression of the high animal spirits produced by real political contention based on true political belief. But the current partisanship seems sour, not joyous. The partisanship has gotten deeper as less separates the governing parties in Washington. It is like what has been said of academic infighting: that it's so vicious because the stakes are so low."

Noonan
