Stupid Scientific Study Of The Week
PEOPLE THAT SMILE ARE GENERALLY MORE HAPPY THAN PEOPLE THAT FROWN
Or
STARVING PEOPLE HAVE BEEN PROVEN TO HAVE A LOWER RATE OF OBESITY
I think you get my point. So Im introducing a new feature to The Aurora to expose the stupidity, the waste of taxpayers dollars, and overall arrogant attitude that the elitists have of the average man in this country. Now to todays entry.
TERRORISM GOOD CARS BAD
In 2001, as many people died every 26 days on American roads as died in the terrorist attacks of 9/11, it says. whole story
Now pay close attention to the article, nowhere is there a mention of the number of drivers, automobiles, road conditions, suicides, DWI's, and other variables. Now pay attention to the lack of information provided as far as the nationality, race, creed of the terrorists or mathetematical equations such as...
1 Terrorist = 50 innocents dead
I love the last quote.
"Policymakers need to be aware of this when allocating resources to preventing these two avoidable causes of mortality," they say.
Hmm. Avoidable. Suicidal murdering maniacs and icy hairpin turns in an old Buick Riviera. I guess they are similiar. So essentialy if the "scientists had their druthers we would have titanium seatbelts and marshmellow roads, and self combusting airplanes seats and switchblades served with our cold chicken cordon bleu. Congratulations Otaga University you are The Aurora's first inductee into the Scientific Stupidity Hall of Fame.

FIR-Getaboutit
ITS A CHRISTMAS TREENow get over it. I dont want to hear how a tree offends people. How a tree represents State sanctioned religion, because its mularkey and everyone knows it. You wanna hear something offensive, hows this... 11 towel heads flying planes into American buildings...do you see me calling for a ban on linen. I dont want to hear about how the first Christmas Tree was not a Christian symbol but was first used in pagan ceremonies, well guess what Einstein the swastika's origins are with the fat China man, but ask a Jewish person that has studied Buddhism how he feels about it, I think I can guess what his association will be.
Its funny how Wal-Mart wont have Christmas sales, but will however sell Christmas Trees. This is nothing more than sytematic secular scheming attempting and succeeding to destroy the moral fabric of society. They are winning because the average American isnt malicious or mean spirited and generally apathetic and easy going.
Whats that?
Theyre taking away the Ten Commandments from the courthouse?
Well it doesnt affect me.
Whats that?
They dont want my child to sing Silent Night in school choir?
Oh well theres plenty of other songs.
Whats that?
They wanna call it a Holiday Tree?
Well I guess they have a point it is a holiday afterall.
Whats the harm you ask???
Im glad you ask...I think only one outcome is possible if decent God fearing law-abiding Americans dont get off their duffs and fight these pinko commie bastards...a lawless and morally corrupt society where the will of the vocal vapid and wicked minority will rule over the just and the good. Santa is making his list and Im certain the ACLU and their ilk are on the naughty list....how bout you?

western Iraq, I asked their commander whether the morale of his troops had been
hurt by the growing public dissent in America over the war in Iraq. His answer
was insightful, instructive and inspirational: "I would guess that if the
opposition and division at home go on a lot longer and get a lot deeper it might
have some effect, but, Senator, my Marines are motivated by their devotion to
each other and the cause, not by political debates."

Speaking Of Cogs
The Aurora is pleased to announce that the first annual WC Cogswell Award for outstanding overall cog-like excellence has been awarded to Donkeyhue. The Aurora was lost in his absence and his scathning investigative reporting was sorely missed, but all is well in Auroraland for he is back. Kudos Mr Donkeyhue for a job well done. Die Hard 4: Operation Enduring Freedom
The Trial of the Century? Decade? Year? Month?
Well, if you didn't know it Saddam's trial has begun again today. This is of little consequence to me as an individual but to Iraqi's it is in fact probably the most important trial of their life. Some of his wacky Sunni Arab leftover Baath party supporters are still running around blowing things up and causing general mayhem and they think he should be set free. While Al Sadr supporters from the Shiite muslim community are running around blowing things up and causing general mayhem and they think Saddam should have been put to death months ago...Well at least these sides are getting close together on the issues at hand and you can see Democracy playing it's part in this evolution. Pretty much everyone involved on either side of this trial has been handed a death threat so obviously there is no way they can be impartial about the hearings. And the fact that it has been 5 months since the last hearings leads me to beleive that a speedy trial isn't in the coming. But while Saddam's fate twists in the wind, Iraqis can take solace in the fact that the American justice system reacts a similar way to a big trial w/media involvement, big name attorneys, lots of hypothesizing about the outcome on every major network and in every major paper...They are being shown the in's & out's of our justice system. Let freedom ring....

Quote of the week
"I strongly supported the war in Iraq. I was privileged to be the
Democratic cosponsor, with the senator from Virginia, of the authorizing
resolution, which received overwhelming bipartisan support. As I follow the
debates about prewar intelligence, I have no regrets about having sponsored and
supported that resolution because of all the other reasons we had in our
national-security interest to remove Saddam Hussein from power -- a brutal,
murdering dictator, an aggressive invader of his neighbors, a supporter of
terrorism, a hater of the United States of America. He was, for us, a ticking
time bomb that, if we did not remove him, I am convinced would have blown up,
metaphorically speaking, in America's face. ... The questions raised about
prewar intelligence are not irrelevant, they are not unimportant, but they are
nowhere near as important and relevant as how we successfully complete our
mission in Iraq and protect the 150,000 men and women in uniform who are
fighting for us there." --Senator (and Gore's 2000 VP candidate) Joseph
Lieberman on the Senate floor Tuesday"

THE FINAL INSPECTION
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, you soldier,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My Church have you been true?
"The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord,It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't, I'll understand.”
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the soldier waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, you soldier,
You've borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell."

"Saddam is gone. It's a good thing, but I don't agree with what was done,"What the hell does that mean??? Now I see why the GOP has grown complacent. There is no longer any need to debate the Dems, they are debating themselves. "I smoked but didnt inhale" "I vote for it before I voted against it" "I voted for Alito and now I oppose him" "Saddam had WMD's, no he didnt" "Iraq was a threat, oops no it wasnt" etc etcetera. As American As Meat Pie
The above image may seem harmless to you my fellow Aurorans, to me however it is an oppressive symbol that violates my constitutional rights as an American citizen. To paraphrase my fellow freedom fighter Paul Weinbaum: "The apple serve no governmental purpose other than to disenfranchise andLet me explain further, you see I am what is considered in the scientific community as a carnivore. My Ninth Amendment right as a meat-eater are constantly being trampled on by my local authorities. You see, I live in New York City also known as "The Big Apple" and I feel my carnivorous tendencies have prevented me from fully participating in local civic jibber jabber yada yada yada blah blah. I intend to file a lawsuit against the City to rectify this injustice and issue an immediate cease and desist order to all govt agencies from using above said symbol until further notice.

Rock(efeller) The Casbah
Trent Lott said on Dec. 5, 2002 at Strom Thurmond's 100th birthbay "I want
to say this about my state: When Strom Thurmond ran for president, we voted for
him. We're proud of it. And if the rest of the country had followed our lead, we
wouldn't have had all these problems over all these years, either."
Sen J Rockefeller Nov 13, 2005 said on Fox News Sunday
WALLACE: Now, the President never said that Saddam Hussein was an imminent
threat. As you saw, you did say that. If anyone hyped the intelligence, isn't it
Jay Rockefeller?
SEN. ROCKEFELLER: No. The — I mean, this question is asked
a thousand times and I'll be happy to answer it a thousand times. I took a trip
by myself in January of 2002 to Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Syria, and I told each
of the heads of state that it was my view that George Bush had already made up
his mind to go to war against Iraq — that that was a predetermined set course
which had taken shape shortly after 9/11.
The democratic pitbulls (and then later a betraying White House) practically ran Trent out of town and forced him to step down as Majority Leader. Where are the GOP attack dogs on this one. Rockefeller openly admitted that he violated The Logan Act (courtesy of The Captain) and he gets a pass. Liberals always get into a tizzy when you call them un-American, yet they continually choose to err on the side of aiding and abetting the enemy as opposed to their own country. This guy should be hung, or at the very least booted from the Senate Intelligence Committe (intellegence not required). The shareef don't like it, and neither do I.
I Will Beat This Horse
"(I)ntelligence reports show that Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his
chemical and biological weapons stock, his missile delivery capability and
his
nuclear program," said this national leader.
"(I)f left unchecked,"
the politician argued, "Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his
capability
to wage biological and chemical warfare and will keep trying to
develop nuclear
weapons. Should he succeed in that endeavor, he could alter
the political and
security landscape of the Middle East, which as we know
all too well, affects
American security."Those quotes are from Hillary Clinton, so you have to ask yourself, where did she get her info? Did she "lie" us into war?
Sen. Clinton got her bad intelligence the same place President Bush got his: the CIA. Specifically, from George Tenet, the man President Clinton appointed director of central intelligence (DCI).
The entire chain of custody on the intelligence Sen. Clinton used in her Oct. 10, 2002, Senate floor speech ran through Democratic politicians back to a Democrat-appointed DCI.
In 2002, Democrats controlled the Senate, and Democratic Sen. Bob Graham of Florida chaired the intelligence committee. On Sept. 9, 2002, Democratic Sen. Richard Durbin of Illinois, a member of the intelligence committee, wrote Clinton-appointed Tenet asking for a National Intelligence Estimate (NIE) on Iraq's WMD programs.
NIEs, the intelligence committee later said in its unanimous bipartisan investigative report on Iraq intelligence, "are intended to provide policymakers in both the executive and legislative branches with the best, unvarnished and unbiased information."
An NIE, the committee quoted a CIA document as explaining, "is the director's estimate, and its findings are his."
DCI Tenet was no Bush crony or Republican hack. His career was largely propelled by Democrats. In the mid-1980s, Democratic Sen. Patrick Leahy of Vermont made Tenet his intelligence committee aide. Former Intelligence Chairman David Boren, an Oklahoma Democrat, later made Tenet the committee's staff director. President Clinton named him to his National Security Council staff, then deputy DCI, then DCI.
Tenet delivered the NIE requested by Durbin at the beginning of October 2002. Its key judgments included that Iraq "is reconstituting its nuclear program," "had chemical and biological weapons" and was developing unmanned aerial vehicles "probably intended to deliver biological warfare agents," and that "all key aspects -- research and development (R&D), production and weaponization -- of Iraq's offensive biological weapons (BW) program are active and that most elements are larger and more advanced than they were before the Gulf War."I hope this clears things up, but i won't hold my breath.

In Zogby We Trust
The Democratic Party is dead. The Republican party is dead. Neidemeyer...DEAD!!! They have failed this country time and time again by putting their own political ambitions ahead of values, ideals, and integrity.
It is ironic how in 1765 the Stamp Act was passed and our forefathers set in motion the machinations that resulted in the American Revolution, and now we have elected "representatives" more concerned with the free postage they receive as perks as opposed to the fact that over twenty five million Americans use food stamps to feed their families. The Democrats are the party of "the poor", well I ask you what have they done to alleviate the hunger of our starving? Its funny how in 1860 Congress passed The Morill Tariff Bill thereby crippling the agricultural South and setting in motion the actions that would result in The Civil War, and now we have "representatives" cutting ribbons in Asia, South America, and elsewhere for their Geo-Corporate Conglomerate pimps. The Republicans are the party of "business" , well I ask you what have they done to keep the steel mills open in Pennsylvania, or to keep the Carolina furniture industry from moving to China?October 2, 2002 The 107th Congress 2nd Session overwhelmingly passed H.J. Res. 114 authorizing the use of force against Iraq by a vote of 77-23 in the Senate and 296-133 in the House, and now that there is blood on the streets of Baghdad and the constant barrage of anti-war propaganda by the MSM has swayed public sentiment they are running like the chickenhawks they are. If polls showed popular support for this war, would we be witnessing this political poppycock. Its time to put the safety of our soldiers and this Nation first.
Where are the Patriots in American politics. Where have the great men that put political party aside in favor of doing what they felt was in the best interest of America. Where are the 'Profiles in Courage' that John F Kennedy wrote about as a junior Senator. Ideology has been replaced by electability. We have become a nation ruled not by men but by men that are ruled by polls. This is what makes the job that President George W Bush is doing all the more impressive. His approval rating is at its lowest, his opponents are attacking him with a ferocity never before seen in modern politics, his own party is abandoning him in droves. I may disagree with my President on many issues, but I agree with him that the "War on Terror" we are waging is the single most important threat facing this country today and tomorrow. I was in New York City in 2001 and others may forget that the terrorists brought the fight to us, but I dont and I wont....and thankfully polls and public opinion aside neither does President
George W Bush.
Give em Hell Dubya!!!

Blame Canada!
Dems admit they're stupid....
John Kerry said "He misled every one of us,"All of the democrats who voted to go to war in Iraq are saying Bush lied, he manipulated them, he fooled them. How were they so easily fooled by such dunce? Obviously they're stupid. They keep telling us this every time they say they were misled and manipulated. So my question is, do we want to elect people who are stupid?
"I'm not responsible for my vote"
"an imminent threat"and that saddam
"has a nuclear program".The president never said either of these things! So who was responsible for selling the war to the American people? Who was "hyping" the intelligence? Check it out here.

Happy Veterans Day
OOPS....
John Kerry > October 9, 2002
"I will be voting to give the president of the US the authority to use force if
necessary to disarm Saddam because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of
mass destruction in his hands is a real and grave threat to our security."
Senator Hillary Clinton > October 10, 2002
"In the four years since the inspectors left, intelligence reports show that
Saddam Hussein has worked to rebuild his chemical and biological weapons stock.
His missile delivery capability, his nuclear program. He has also given aid,
comfort, and sanctuary to terrorists including Al-Qaeda members. It is clear,
however, that if left unchecked, Saddam Hussein will continue to increase his
capacity to wage biological and chemical warfare and will keep trying to develop
nuclear weapons."
Dick Durbin > September 30, 1999
"One of the most compelling threats we in this country face today is theJohnny Edwards > January 7, 2003
proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. Threat assessments regularly warn
us of the possibility that North Korea, Iran, Iraq, or some other nation may
acquire or develop nuclear weapons."
"Serving on the intelligence committee and seeing day after day, week afterTom Daschle > February 11, 1998
week, briefings on Saddam's weapons of mass destruction and his plans on using
those weapons, he cannot be allowed to have nuclear weapons. It's just that
simple. The whole world changes if Saddam ever has nuclear weapons."
"The (Clinton) administration has said, 'Look, we have exhausted virtually our
diplomatic effort to get the Iraqis to comply with their own agreements and with
international law. Given that, what other option is there but to force them to
do so?' That's what they're saying. This is the key question. And the answer is
we don't have another option. We have got to force them to comply, and we are
doing so militarily."So the question is, did they lie to us? Did these democrats mislead us into war? If not, and they believed what they were saying, why didn't they do anything about it? Why were they allowing this threat to exist, even thrive when Clinton was in office? Either way, it doesn't look good for the Dems.

Violent Muslims? No couldn't be..
Hillary lied people died
Harry Reid pulled the Senate into closed session Tuesday, claiming that "The Libby indictment provides a window into what this is really all about, how this Administration manufactured and manipulated intelligence in order to sell the war in Iraq." What? lets ask the people who know.
In July 2004, the Senate Intelligence Committee released a bipartisan
500-page report that found numerous failures of intelligence gathering and
analysis. As for the Bush Administration's role, "The Committee did not find any
evidence that Administration officials attempted to coerce, influence or
pressure analysts to change their judgments related to Iraq's weapons of mass
destruction,"
And what about pre war? What was the senate intelligence committe saying then? Well, thanks to google, we can check it out for ourselves.
Senator Jay Rockefeller, the Democratic ViceChairman ofthe Intelligence
Committee, who is now leading the "Bushlied"brigades (fromOctober 10, 2002):
"There is unmistakableevidencethatSaddam Hussein isworking aggressively to
developnuclear weaponsand willlikely have nuclearweapons within thenextfive
years. . . .Wealso shouldremember we have alwaysunderestimated the progress
Saddamhas made indevelopment ofweapons of massdestruction."
If Mr. Bush is a liar, what does the use of the phrase "unmistakable evidence" make Mr. Rockefeller? A fool? Yes, he is a fool, but don't forget, the intelligence committee gets all the same information as the president. And what about some other prominent "Bush Lied" dems? In fact what about the front runner for the democratic nomination for president?
